Mucha Lucha… Another week of wrestling and a ton of Lucha Libre to mix in with your non lucha wrestling habits. Chimaera’s back, again… Updates for TalkNWA… New Promotions popping off this Spring… PWG’s showcasing the Worlds Finest Tag Teams and this week’s schedule.
Chimaera Returns– Again
At SoCal Pro’s March Madness in the midst of the Main Event Tag Team Match where the Mirror Image Mega Stars (Tommy Wilson and Ricky Mandel) were taking on SoCal Pro Champ Kid Caramba and the Face of the Franchise SoCal Crazy. Once Chimaera showed up, Crazy dove on to him outside the ring. In the interim, Caramba finished off both Wilson and Mandel, while Crazy laid fists to the face of Chimaera. The fallout of March Madness leads directly into the 5 Year Anniversary of SoCal Pro and has already created some of the matches for the event. “The Face of the Franchise” will face his nemesis in Chimaera and the Main Event will be a TLC for the SoCal Pro Championship, Caramba vs. Wilson.
Talk NWA
This weeks TalkNWA will feature NWA North American Champion Shaun Tempers. We’ll also be playing our interview with Ryan Kidd. We also premiered on Monday the Alliance Report, which is a recap podcast of the going ons of NWA Hollywood, NWA On Fire, and NWA News. For the premier episode we also featured an extended interview with Johnny Yuma. Please check it out.
Hope Springs Eternal…
Visiting the Message Board you’ll see a new one popping up. Last month Pro Wrestling Massive had its debut. In the Fall of 2011 we saw the debut of Alpha Omega along with HQ Pro holding their debut event the beginning of the year. This Spring, specifically April will have the debut of three new wrestling promotions. Pro Wrestling Coalition debuts on April 14th in Bloomington. The Elite Masters of Combat presents “Rumble at the Lodge” on April 28th in Monrovia. Lastly APEX Pro: Year One debuts April 29th in Huntington Park. Best of luck to all three promotions as it looks like April will be quite exciting for wrestling fans.
Tag Team Wrestling at its Finest
The Main Event for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla’s Worlds Finest will be a Four-Way Tag Team Madness match featuring; Appetite for Destruction (Super Dragon & Kevin Steen) vs. RockNES Monsters (Johnny Yuma & Johnny Goodtime) vs. The Young Bucks (Nick and Matt Jackson) vs. Super Smash Bros. (Player Uno & Stupified). I would say that if you’re a fan of tag team wrestling this match will be incredible. ManiaWeekend has full predictions to PWG’s Worls Finest, which include the RockNES Monsters being the favorite to win. I think it would be interesting to see The Super Smash Brothers walk away with the victory.
