Jay Cal’s View #52

Morgan's X-Ray on injured collar bone

Another great weekend in Wrestling a bevy of options to feast on.  This week in the view, we have updates on James Morgan, MPW could have a Match of the Year on their hands, who will be redeemed at SoCal Pro’s Redemption, NWA Hollywood has its biggest show of the year and the rest of the shows for the week.

James Morgan Injury Update

Morgan's X-Ray on injured collar bone

The injury that occurred to James Morgan at the DCW show back in October.  WebMD will tell you a broken collar bone typically takes eight to ten weeks to heal properly, looks like the “Red Tornado “is on the right path to recovery.  Morgan is two weeks away from light strength training.  Since the Injury Morgan has re-joined the commentating team for NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood.

NWA Hollywood Television Taping  Sunday
With delays getting into their new home at the Glendale Studios, NWA Hollywood spend Sunday at the Solar Studios located at 1601 S. Central Ave., in  GLENDALE!   3 Big Championship Matches.  I’ve been looking forward to this show for a while.  Pearce v. Ricker could potentially dominate storylines in 2012.  Yuma is getting a shot to shine in Hollywood solo when he takes on Scorpio Sky, who really is at another level right now.  We might even get some closure with Avalon and Taylor when they square off in a cage, and Nick Madrid teams up with Kaos against the Disorder.  This show is quite possibly the biggest show of the year.

The Manimal on Talk NWA
Speaking of NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood, fans of the program  may remember the Manimal.  The Manimal travels the southwest and had worked dates in SoCal Pro, Mach-1, and NWA Hollywood.   When we talked to the Manimal he brought up what he thought about working out in Southern California and spoke about the talent.  Listen to hear what he had to say.

Is MPW NeXT?
With WWE’s NXT star Jacob Novak making his debut in MPW to take the “Rude, Crude, and Tattood” Bo Cooper, MPW makes its return to action after a brief hiatus.  With this big match, Logan Xavier takes defends the MAX Title against Mario Banks.  And in the Main Event, Ryan Taylor defends his MPW Championship against Scorpio Sky– this could be not only the match of the night, but frankly could be a Match of the Year.

SoCal Pro’s Redemption
One of the many definitions of redemption is, atonement for guilt.  Saturday Night, a four way dance is scheduled between the “Face of the Franchise” SoCal Crazy, “The Mirror Image” Ricky Mandel, Kid Caramba, and the wild card, Chimaera.  We know that this isn’t the same Chimaera, but who is he?  This huge match up is surrounded by some very interesting match ups.  Nick Madrid gets a shot at SoCal Pro Champ, Tommy Wilson.  And the duo of Damage Control (Duke and Destro) take on 2 Skinny White Guys (Avalon and Lovin).

The Raw Impact Comedy Smackdown
Just wanted to remind everyone about the December 7th comedy event, 8PM at the Hollywood Improve, Interview Extraordinaire Jonny Loquasto hosting a night of comedy with a  simple premise. It’s a lineup of really funny comedians who have 1 thing in common: Their love for Professional Wrestling. You’ll hear classic theme songs, hilarious jokes, watch funny videos, and even some surprise characters might show up!!
