The end of September seems to be a slow week for wrestling. Did you see Tha Chef and Mach-1 Wrestling were featured in a piece by the Orange County Register? Lucha Libre USA returns to your television? Want to get a Diva’s autograph? Also Talk NWA returns with “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce, and this weeks shows.
Hopefuls wrestle with a dream at O.C. fight night
Although Mach-1 Wrestling is still on hiatus since their announcement that they are moving, the Orange County Registered recently completed a piece on Mach-1 and in particular Jerry Carr aka Tha Chef. I have known of Jerry Carr for quite a while and I know that he’s been trying to make it in the world of wrestling. We added the video to our Featured Video Section.Tha Chef had been a regular working with Mach-1 Wrestling and even had a match at NWA Hollywood. I hope Tha Chef continues to pursue his dream. I also wanted to share this slide show of pictures the OC Register also put up on their site. There has been no more updates on Mach-1’s new location, but I have heard that they should be returning to the Long Beach Comic-Con.
Lucha Libre USA: Masked Warriors Return to MTV2 Oct 1st.
After season 1 of MTV’s take on Lucha Libre, the world more or less expected the Lucha Libre USA to disappear by way of its predecessor like Wrestling Society X. However, to the surprise of everyone Masked Warriors are returning to MTV2 starting October 1st. Typically MTV programing is repeated through out the week, but the first run episode is set to air at 10AM EST. The promotion has continued to run from New Mexico with the likes of Sydistiko (now played by Paul London), Rocky Romero, Marco Corelone, Charly Malice, Lizmark Jr., RJ Brewer, and with guest stars like Shane Helms, ODB, Blue Demon Jr, and Tatanka.
