This week in the View, Jarrek Matthews wins the M1W Heavyweight Title and he talked to me on my podcast the next day, the NWA is crowning a new World Jr. Champion, will SoCal be represented? This weekend at the World Famous Frank & Sons you can meet some former WWE Divas.  Also this weekend Joey Ryan will re-debut for Battleground Pro and a lot of up-coming matches for you to check out.

NWA Crowning a new NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Champion
The National Wrestling Alliance has made the announcement they are looking to crown a new World Junior Heavyweight Champion on October 7th in North Carolina.  Normally this wouldn’t be news for Southern California, but I have heard that several names from NWA Hollywood are being looked at to join the tournament.  If you are watching NWA Hollywood on KDOC-TV, there is a lot of great Jr. Heavyweights featured weekly.  No official names has been announced just yet, as soon as the names are released we’ll share it here on SoCalUNCENSORED.

Last Saturday morning, while doing my NWA Podcast I was joined by none other than Jarek Matthews, the newly crowned Heavyweight Champion on Mach-1 Wrestling.  During the celebratory conversation, Matthews noted that his title victory marked his first singles championship victory in his 11 year career, that has seen him travel to as far as Australia to compete.  Humble in his victory, Matthews and Mach-1 received praised from NWA Executive Director Bob Trobich, who also had kind words to say about former champion James Morgan.  If you want to see Matthews win the belt, make sure you check out this video.

Joey Ryan bringing Sleazy Back to Battleground Pro
Joey Ryan a former star in NWA Hollywood will make his return back to Battleground Pro.  Joey Ryan has been very tight lipped about his departure from the NWA since making the official announcement.  With a live microphone, not sure what Joey may say in Los Alamitos this weekend, but I hope the censors have their fingers on the button.  Battleground is set to feature a three way match with Famous B, “The New Age Punisher” B-Boy, and “Pretty” Peter Avalon.  And of course the show down between Mikey Callahan and Alexis Darevko for the Battleground Pro Heavyweight Championship.
