March 20 — When we first announced the participants for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla’s Ninety-Nine and One Hundred (taking place on Aprill 11 & 12 with tickets available right now on the Mini-Site) there was rampant speculation about what the matches would actually be taking place. There were some matches that seemed like lay-ups, sure things, or as close to a sure thing as you can get in professional wrestling. There were others that fell into the realm of the “dream match,” matches with such fantastic potential they could only take place in a ring made of clouds, with an angelic chorus to accompany the action. But there was one match that stood firmly in both categories. We are pleased to announce that the highly anticipated match will be a reality, when on Saturday, April 11 at Ninety-Nine, Matt and Nick Jackson, The Young Bucks, will defend the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Tag Team Championship against none other than Abdullah The Butcher and “The Taskmaster” Kevin Sullivan, The Dungeon of Doom.…don’t be stupid, they’ll be putting the titles on the line against Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, the Motor City Machine Guns!
Also at Ninety-Nine, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Champion Chris Hero, with Candice LeRae in his corner, will defend the championship title against Austin Aries. Aries, who has been on a bit of a hot streak of late, would love not only to become the fourteenth World Champion, but to also gain some measure of revenge from their first Pro Wrestling Guerrilla encounter all the way back at Uncanny X-Mas! Plus, another old rivalry will be rekindled as Scorpio Sky and “The Professional” Scott Lost will find themselves on opposite sides of a 6-man tag team match! Scorpio Sky will be teaming up with Phoenix Star and Zokre, Los Luchas, who have their sights set on the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Tag Team Championship titles! Scott Lost will be teaming up with The Cutler Brothers, Brandon and Dustin, who are looking for a title shot as well!
On Sunday, April 12 at One Hundred, “Classic” Colt Cabana, who made his surprising return at Express Written Consent, will get another shot at the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Championship as he will take on the winner of Chris Hero/Austin Aries title match at Ninety-Nine! Plus B-Boy, Human Tornado, Scorpio Sky, Chuck Taylor, and The Young Bucks will all be in action!
Tickets for both Ninety-Nine and One Hundred are on sale now at the Mini-Site. If you hope to sit front row for both events, we suggest purchasing your tickets in advance, since those seats are close to selling out. General Admission seats are also available for purchase online. Fans who purchase their tickets in advance will gain priority entry into the venue, so if you want to sit as close to the action as possible, order your tickets today!
