Stipulation: If Babi Slymm or SoCal Crazy successfully pin Adam Pearce, then Babi Slymm or SoCal Crazy will become the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion.
·There will be a bash in Oceanside, as these two teams’ hatred for each other will be settled in the ring. Due to the controversy in the “New Year’s Retribution” show, Babi Slymm demanded a match to be made for February’s show and he challenged Adam Pearce and Jason Redondo with TNT in their corner to a tag team match. SoCal Crazy will be Babi Slymm’s tag team partner and he will have some business to finish with his opponents for their cheating tactics and controversial behaviors.
·Adam Pearce will need to make sure that he does not allow himself to get pinned by one his opponents because his reign as NWA World Heavyweight Champion will come to and end. Luckily, Adam Pearce will have two individuals to watch his back and they will keep an eye on the champion from getting pinned. Will there be a new NWA World Heavyweight Champion on February 9?
·2007 was probably the most impressive year for Matt Jackson as he established himself as a singles wrestler and a tag team wrestler throughout Southern California. He will return to SoCal Pro and face another SCP debuting wrestler, Brandon Bonham. February 9 will be the first-ever time that Brandon Bonham will wrestle for a Southern California independent promotion.
·Bonham’s wrestling resume consists of wrestling throughout Minnesota and for Northern California promotions, such as NAW (North American Wrestling) and APW (All Pro Wrestling). This first encounter between Matt Jackson and Brandon Bonham will be a match for SCP fans to keep an eye on since the two wrestlers will perform a fast-paced match and their high-risk maneuvers.
·Shane and Shannon Ballard will continue their quest towards becoming the future SoCal Pro Wrestling Tag Teams Champions, but they will have to defeat the newly formed pairing of Ricky Mandel and Hector Canales. All four of these men are very familiar with each other considering that Mandel and Canales were in “Super Clash’s” Three-Way Tag Team Match against The Ballards Brothers as well as Johnny Goodtime and Evan Jelik.
Next month, Ricky Mandel and Hector Canales will plan to make a name for themselves as a tag team by hopefully upsetting the veteran tag team. Due to the history between the two teams, the importance of this match will be emphasized towards the wrestlers involved the match, especially Ricky Mandel. If 2008 will really be the year for Ricky Mandel, and then he will need to find a way of finally ending his losing streak by pinning either Shane or Shannon Ballard.
·Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks will return to SoCal Pro and he will be in singles action against Chimaera. Nick Jackson is much like his brother, Matt since he has experience in singles wrestling and tag team wrestling. The fans in Oceanside know what Nick Jackson is all about as a tag team wrestler from his matches against The Ballards.
·However, the fans have not seen Nick Jackson’s style when he faces opponents one-on-one. At “New Year’s Retribution,” Chimaera lost against Johnny Goodtime thus ending his recent winning streak in SoCal Pro. On February 9, Chimaera will have a chance to taste victory and possibly put Nick Jackson on the list of wrestlers that have fell victim to rage.
·Johnny Goodtime has been very successful in SoCal Pro by defeating The Ballard Brothers and Anchors Away in tag team matches. He also has proven to the fans that he can make a transition from a tag team wrestler into a singles wrestler by taking on opponents, such as Ryan Taylor, KAOS, and most recently Chimaera. Johnny Goodtime has another opportunity to prove himself again as he faces the debuting Billy Blade.
·The last time that Billy Blade appeared in the San Diego area was five years wrestling for WCWA (World Class Wrestling Alliance). Billy Blade is primarily known for his work in APW (All Pro Wrestling) and other Northern California independent wrestling promotions. On February 9, Billy Blade will be out for his opponent’s blood, while Johnny Goodtime’s success in SoCal Pro will be put to test again.
