We have all heard the story of “The Boy Who Cried Wolf.” Brandon “Lionheart” Hill probably doesn’t want to ever hear that story again. After his actions last summer, no one was ready to believe him when he called NWA Pro Wrestling officials to inform them of a severe neck injury he recently suffered. Unfortunately, we have verified his statements and there is no word as to how long it will be before Lionheart can step in the ring again.With this somber news, AWS Kingpin Bart Kapitzke had no choice but to declare the LA Light Heavyweight Championship vacant. On January 28th four top fighters will battle to see who will carry the gold. Former champions Human Tornado and Lil’ Cholo join Disco Machine and Rockin’ Randy Rocket in a 4-Way Dance to crown a new champion!
NWA Pro Tag Team Title Match
Champions: Bo Cooper & Sexy Chino
Challengers: Karl “Machine Gun” Anderson & Joey Ryan
Ever since their first pairing at the Wrestling Summit in Las Vegas, the team of Karl “Machine Gun” Anderson and Joey Ryan have been on a roll. Their climb to the top of NWA tag team rankings has seen them defeat several top teams including a tag team gauntlet match at Halloween Slaughterhouse to grant them this title shot. Champions Bo Cooper & Sexy Chino remain as hot as ever in their quest to prove they are for real. Their victory over Los Chivos at the December AWS event went a long way towards that. The challengers look to fulfill their destiny while the champions look to earn the respect they feel they have been denied. Be there to find out who walks away with the belts!
Al Katrazz (w/Vander Pyle) vs. Tommy Wilson
With the NWA Pro Heritage Title squarely around the waist of “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce everyone in the NWA seems to be petitioning for a title shot. Pearce has had his hands full with SoCal’s Babi Slymm, Canada’s Nelson Creed, NWA MidWest’s Angel Armoni and many more. While not officially a number 1 contender’s match, it would appear that Pearce will also have to contend with whoever comes out on top in this battle. After walking out on Plague halfway through his battle with Wilson in December, it would appear that Al Katrazz is the last remaining member of Vander Pyle’s once powerful stable. An Al Katrazz loss to Tommy Wilson would appear to be as devastating to Vander Pyle as it would to Katrazz. Come and see how this intriguing battle turns out.
Los Luchas (Phoenix Star & Zokre) vs. The Young Bucks (Nick & Matt Jackson)
Two top teams in line for the NWA Pro Tag Titles will step into the ring as opponents for the first time. Since their return to AWS, Los Luchas have been on fire. A win over the Young Bucks would give them a great deal of momentum going into the February 25th Wrestling Summit II in Las Vegas. Conversely, the Young Bucks are looking to secure a spot on the show as well as further establish themselves with the AWS and NWA Pro faithful. This one will be fast paced and action filled!
