The 2006 Southern California Pro-Wrestling Awards have been announced and Joey Ryan has been named the 2006 Southern California Wrestler of the Year. Pro Wrestling Guerrilla was named the Promotion of the Year for the fourth straight year, Carla Jade won Rookie of the Year honors, El Generico won the newly created Most Outstanding Wrestler award, and Cape Fear (El Generico & Quicksilver) was named Tag-Team of the Year. Also two matches tied for the Match of the Year, with Super Dragon & Davey Richards over Roderick Strong & Jack Evans from March 4th’s PWG show and El Generico over Pac from November 18th’s PWG show taking the honors.
