Ventucopa, California – The fans of Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com) have spoken, and with 35% of their voice, they demanded that Human Tornado challenge PWG Champion Joey Ryan for his title on January 7, 2006 at “Cruisn’ For a Bruisin’!” While Commissioner Dino Winwood was happy to let the fans do his job, for one match at least, he was quite unhappy with the ensuing controversy after voting concluded. The next highest vote getter was Rocky Romero with 33%, and according to the Havana Pitbull himself, despite losing by 2%, he and his team of vote counters found that he was actually the winner! When contacted about a possible recount, or run-off between Tornado and Romero, Commissioner Winwood scoffed at the request, saying “What kind of country would we live in if the people’s voice was silenced due to some sort of behind the scenes maneuvering that completely ignored the results of an election? Why, I bet if we did that sort of thing, people would still be upset about it, even 5 years from now!”With that unpleasant ordeal settled, it was up to Commissioner Winwood to create a lineup that was alluring, entertaining, and intriguing. Not an easy task for a normal week, let alone a week that starts with a tryptophan and non-alcoholic Sparkling Grape Drink induced hang over!
