PASADENA, CA – In one quick and full swoop, Aaron Proctor’s influence on his “Proctor” Championship Wrestling was felt across the independent wrestling world! On July 19, 2003, in front of the largest PCW crowd ever, “Reinvention” saw new feuds begin, old rivalries reborn, and current competitions get a lot more brutal! There is only one way but up for this formerly fledgling promotion as a lot of eyes were opened to the bright future ahead for PCW and its stars. All of the aforementioned and a whole lot more will be brought to the table when PCW returns to the Eagles Hall at 455 E. Woodbury Rd. in Altadena, CA on Saturday, September 6th, 2003 and 8pm. Tickets are only $15 and $10 for kids under 12. You can always reserve your ticket, if you’re in the SoCal area, by sending an e-mail to PCW staff at pcwteam@yahoo.com. The kind folks at Sonicfish.com will also be on hand, making this an international direct-to-video taping! If you want to see great wrestling action, great entertainment, and if you want to be seen by the droves of people who will purchase this tape, get your sights set on the Eagles Hall on Sept 6th!It’s been a rough few months for The Messiah. It’s no secret that he is the most fighting-est defender of the PCW Championship. He’s defeated such names as Frankie Kazarian, Hardkore Kidd, and even Hi-V and CZW ally B-Boy to keep the 10 pounds of gold around his waist. At “Reinvention” this past July, Messiah kept the title in a hard fought, bloody battle against Brawlin’ Bo Cooper. (Also, “thanks” should be given to Messiah’s ally & special referee, Mace, whom “screwed” Bo Cooper out of a possible double championship reign in the SoCal indy circuit). As soon as the final bell rang and the Messiah’s music hit, out of nowhere, former “Xtreme” rival, Kaos, came out of absolutely nowhere and blindsided the Messiah. The locker room cleared to prevent these two gladiators from tearing up each other and the Eagles Hall! It was later learned that Aaron Proctor signed Kaos to a lucrative contract with PCW, something that The Messiah will not likely be happy about! For the first time in Southern California independent wrestling history, The Messiah will go up against “The Rock Superstar” Kaos! What will happen when these two long-time rivals step into the ring? You can definitely expect a lot of “extreme ultraviolence” from this match for the ages and each opponent will have “Zero Tolerance” for each other’s actions!
“The Technical Wizard” strikes again! Joey Ryan, the PCW MAXimum Champion, was pitted against two mystery opponents of Aaron Proctor’s choosing at “Reinvention”. Proctor chose Frankie “The Future” Kazarian and “Tornado” Tony Kozina in a way to trick Joey Ryan out of thinking his opponents were wrestlers not listed on the card. In what was surely a match of the year candidate, Ryan defeated Kozina & Kazarian in his first ever PCW MAXimum Title defense! Obviously this was the second of “The Noticeable One’s” plans that backfired and Joey Ryan was immediately ordered to defend the MAXimum strap against Lil’ Cholo. Lil’ Cholo is a recent WPW Best Of The West 2003 winner and is garnering renowned wrestling status from across the United States and the rest of the globe. Cholo is coming off of an exciting victory over Dante from North American Wrestling at “Reinvention”. No doubt, Ryan and Cholo will be a match of the year candidate! With yet another challenging challenge set up by Joey Ryan’s nemesis and Lil Cholo’s five star speed and athletic abilities, the fans will have “Zero Tolerance” for anything less than one hell of a match!
The 2003 CZW “Best Of The Best” winner, B Boy, will face a familiar foe in that of “Softcore” Nick Berk on Sept 6th at PCW’s “Zero Tolerance”. Nick Berk is one of the most popular and exciting wrestlers from the east coast indy scene and will make his PCW debut on the 6th taking on the “New Age Punisher”! For those of you unfamiliar with Nick Berk, you can check out his website at http://www.nickberk.com!
Sexy Chino also had “Zero Tolerance” for being bullied and taunted by Preston Scott (1/2 of PCW Tag Team Champions, Damage Inc.) and his manager Jason Bennett. At “Reinvention”, Chino was the inaugural guest on the “Hollywood Damage Report”, Bennett’s new talk show. Preston Scott & Bennett lured Chino into the ring to dance to his favorite Technotronic tune but later jumped the fancy-footworked crowd favorite. Luckily, The Aerial Express (Quicksilver & Scorpio Sky a/k/a the #1 contenders for the PCW Tag Team Championship) made the save. Scorpio Sky later lost in singles action against Preston Scott when Sexy Chino, for 30 seconds, became “Hardcore” Chino and blanked out Preston Scott with a chair, earning Preston a DQ victory. Scott & Bennett later attacked Chino, Scorpio Sky, and Quicksilver and you can bet that this feud will rage on and right into September 6th!
It looks like Aaron Proctor has just signed an exciting matchup between “The Professional” Scott Lost and Disco Machine! These two fan favorites will definitely give the fans a match for the ages! Scott Lost is coming off a defeat of 1/2 of the Aerial Express’ Quicksilver and Disco Machine is also coming off a victory over “American Zero” Steve Sanchez – both from PCW’s “Reinvention” this past July. It also seems that whomever is victorious between Lost and Disco will earn definite ranking, if not the #1 spot, for the PCW MAXimum Championship!
“North Star” Mike Vega will take on his rival, “American Zero” Steve Sanchez, in what is being billed as a grudge match. Vega and Sanchez have been at war ever since PCW’s June show and Vega has been promising that the United States will not supercede Canada in this wrestling war! Vega’s ally, the Plague, debuted at “Reinvention” and put Sanchez in “The Outbreak” which can only be described as a gorilla press into a DDT. Will The Plague be the wild card that assists Vega’s victory in this feud or will Steve Sanchez bounce back with a moral victory? Mike Vega will also be the guest on Jason Bennett’s “Hollywood Damage Report”!
Also on the card, Brawlin’ Bo Cooper, with Glenn “Diablo” MacNeil at his side, will take on “The California Kid” Jake Cross from Elite Pro Wrestling (http://www.elitepro.org). In an exciting lucha libre tag team match brought to you by SoCal’s leading lucha promotion, WPW, Silver Tyger & Chippy Sanchez will take on the team of Infernal & Steve Pain! WPW brings an exciting mix of lucha libre and American wrestling entertainment to fans every Sunday at the Anaheim Marketplace in Anaheim, CA!
With a stacked card like this, no wonder people are saying that “Zero Tolerance” is the biggest PCW show in its brief history!
