NJPW Inoki Dojo Shows
So I'm psyched that NJPW-USA is back and running weekly -- cool opportunity for us locals. Probably gonna try to make it on Sunday.
I know Vanderpyle said they'd hopefully have the card up shortly, but I'm wondering in general what the plans are for these shows. Having a lucha-based show was an awesome change of pace, but I'm assuming they won't all be lucha shows. Will each show be a different showcase of different guys and styles? Will there be NJPW-USA regulars (I'm assuming Rocky and Perkins will be if they're in town), or will there be a rotating cast of workers? I realize you guys may not have all the details sorted out just yet, and that it may be premature to ask these questions, but a few more bits of info would help fans like myself get even more excited about the Sunday shows. Thanks in advance. |

Ah, nice, thankya. Looks like they're largely sticking with the lucha theme. Interesting to see Kong -- does anyone know anything about this "American Balloon"?
Also interesting that they're doing Puma/Romero. I know they'd originally advertised it for last week, too, but it's a match-up between their two most-profile regulars... you could argue that it's best saved for later. But somehow I'd guess that their attendance won't hinge on storylines so much as random attractions who are in town. Also, what was last week's attendance like? If NJPW-USA can start drawing some of the traditional lucha crowd, they could actually outdraw PWG before long. It's a very interesting, smart strategy -- the question is whether or not they're devoted to a lucha product long-term. (I would imagine probably not.) Anyway, looks like a fun show, and I'll be there. |

I'm guessing just from looking at these cards that Kid Durango is booking the matches.
