MIL MASCARAS IN San Diego!!!!

For those O.G. lucha libre fans in San Diego County I just found out that The one and only MIL MASCARAS will be at the next WCW event at Sweetwater High School on May 21 at 7:30pm.
the talent on the card is:

MIL MASCARAS, HURACAN RAMIREZ JR., MEDICO ASESINO, VILLANO III, MISTERIOSO, CASSANDRO

MASCARITA SAGRADA, PAYASIN COCO AZUL, FELINO SALVAGE, GENIO, INFERNAL, CHIPPY SANCHEZ, R2K, Etc. Etc.

...I don't know exactly who's fighting who yet but that is the card for now; more will probably be added later. I'll keep ya'll posted. GET EXCITED PEEPS!!!

Well, tonight is the night, will West Coast Wrestling manage to pull a giant rabbit out of their collective ASSES? (I doubt it).

I really pity the people who heard or read (IN THE ONLY CITY NEWSPAPER!!) that MIL MASCARAS will be at tonight's show. SCROUNGING up their hard-earned pennies and telling their TIA CLEOTILDE and TIO TENCHO to round up the kids only to find out that their idol (Mr. Mascaras) is not there and probably was never even contacted to perform!!!
imagine the tears on their faces as they realize that they just spent part of their rent money on this lame-ass show. (...Sorry for the melodrama, my vocation is writing and I simply just got carried away).

I wouldn't attend one of West Coast Wrestling's shows if they paid me!!! I'd rather watch my two cats F**K.

But alas.... I will be there tonight just to see the drama. Maybe, just maybe... these wanna-be "promoters" will actually have Mr Mascaras there tonight.


P.S. All this crap about MR. Mascaras being at the event(or not), ...the rumors, "he said this...", "they said that..." "he will be there...", "NO HE WONT! BECAUSE MY NEIGHBOR HAS A COUSIN WHO SLEPT WITH THE GUY WHO ONCE SERVED mR. mASCARAS A DRINK AT HIS NIECE'S QUINCEANERA AND THAT PERSON SAID HE WOULDN'T..." I should submit this compelling "storyline" to WWE, it would definately stir up some heavy emotions on their viewers. Then when Mr. McMahon pays me for my story I will create this new federation in S.D. and have shows at Castlepark H.S. and then advertise that I have booked Mil Mascaras and then....

This is alot like the tactics one Jose Luis Rosales who owns OMEGA ENTERPRISES LUCHA LIBRE uses when he promotes a lucha show.He announces big names even though he rarely contacts any of them and this has given him a bad reputation.In fact he recently did a pitiful show in the Congress Theatre and the star attraction Cien Caras didn't show and there was only a crowd of about 50-70 people in a theatre which had previously drawn close to three thousand for a Hijo de Santo card.Rosales was planning another show their for June 4th but the theatre DOES NOT WANT HIM BACK.
Can't blame them.Rosales is poison to Chicago Lucha Libre.

One thing one my lists of things I want to do before I die is to see Mil Mascaras live, even better if I was able to meet him. Never have. Mil is one of my all-time favorites. How can anyone not like him.

And to Torgaman.... I think Rocky from FMLL is resuming shows at The Congress in June. He's the one who did the big shows there with Sant etc.

I know Rocky has a show for June.But Mr Rosales also wanted to do a June show at the Congress theatre after a show he did there on May 15th but due to the poor crowd his show drew the staff at Congress don't want him back.

Well....all I can vouch for is Jose Luis's ring. That piece of shit that they use at The Congress should be cut up for scrap metal!

A good ring does not a good promoter make.Sadly Mr Rosales has a well desereved reputation of being a bad promotor.He has constantly announced big name stars only to replace them with wrestlers of lesser stature a few days before the match,his undercard workers aren't very experienced and he
isn't known for being a very nice guy.As a result his shows haven't drawn too many people.He was promoting lucha libre in Cicero and Aurora Illinois with not very good results.Well when the Congress started to have great lucha shows he wanted in.He provided the ring and some undercard workers for LUCHAVAVOOM and was given the chance to do his own show for May 15th.
He went into his old tricks.He announced Pierroth Hijo de Pierroth and Perro Aguayo vs Los Dinamita Bros Cien Caras Mascara Ano Dos Mil and Universo Dos Mil.As the match drew closer the card was changed,with Mascara Ano Dos Mil and Perro Aguayo Jr being dropped from the card.However Jose Luis promised this would be the retirement match of Cien Caras!!!Well although Cien Caras didn't show Universo did and was teamed up with some masked unknown against Pierroth and Hijo de Pierroth for a very crappy main event match after a mostly crappy undercard.After the main event match challenges were barked out between Universo and Pierroth for a hair vs hair match at the Congress for June 4th which Rosales "promising" will take place.
All this was witnessed by 50 to 70 spectators in a theatre that could easily fit close to three thousand people.Rosales was also very rude towards people
who were invited by the theater,to a reporter who was covering the event and to actual invitees of the wrestlers.Rosales's wife was manning the ticket booth and wanted to charge Univero's teenage companions[sons?nephews?]
the admission,which didn't sit too well with Universo.The staff at the Congress was expecting a lucha show on the same level if not better than their previous outings,which had the undercard provided by EMPRESA MEXICANA DE LUCHA LIBRE which boasts a better roster of local workers.
However with the exception of the Mascarita Sagrada,Mini Psicosis vs Guerrerito del Futuro,Tyme Paige match the whole card Jose Luis Rosales put
on[including the main event with name wrestlers]was worse than anything I've seen in the WWe or WCW.And with only about fifty to seventy people in attendance you could see why the Congress Theatre staff doesn't want Jose Luis Rosales and his lucha shows in their venue.
