Brilliant burial yet again by WWE

Can a WWE fan tell me what the fuck the point was in burying both Esponky and London in a matter of seconds?

I want the 3 minutes of my life back that I spent watching that crap. That was the most pointless thing in the history of pointlessness.

Great way of building the team up and giving them a solid intro--- let them get destroyed by one guy.

I'd be happy just to be in the WWE, I wouldn't really care if I were getting squashed. Plus - the money must be nice. You really don't have to kill yourself anymore because you've paid your dues so to speak. That's the way I look at it.

What a surprise, WWE crapped on a good young talent. London is just gonna be another good wrestler who will be made into nothing cause WWE no longer knows how to put on a wrestling show.

The Observer and Torch have been reporting that the money in WWF isn't so great anymore. When you consider that all but the very top guys have to cover hotel, ground transportation, and food on the road combined with the large number of guys that don't get on PPV, thus don't get the PPV bonus... it isn't such a wealthy job.

According to Keller, several wrestlers just want the WWF contract to build up their name before they can leave for a guarenteed TNA contract that also allows them to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday indy dates for extra cash using the fame they got in WWF.

It's getting to that point, once again. Remember, Mick Foley made a healthy living in ECW, Japan, and other indies in teh mid 90s without WCW or WWF.

Watching WWE is like picking at a scab. You know you're not supposed to do it, and it's better if you don't.... but for some odd reason you still do.

Antizionist, you and I have made a habit at being at each others throats on this board but in this case...I agree with you completely. I still watch RAW on Mondays and afterwards I feel just sick to my stomach. Then the next week comes...and I watch again.

I need to clarify...

I don't blame any wrestler for going to WWE, that would be stupid. My problem here is how WWE buries "workrate oriented" talent. Why does this bother me? Because I like matches with good workrate.

The reason the avg fan doesn't care about these guys is because they are not portrayed as important by WWE. This causes less avg fans to care about workrate. The less avg fans care about workrate guys, the less we will see it on TV.

This case was more annoying because there was absolutely no need to bury these guys in the process of getting Lesnar over as a monster.

Actually this would be a digging up and then reburial for Spanky, seeing as how he had already been buried once. London did look cool with that flippy thing off the clothesline. But as an 'actor' he makes Stephanie look like Meryl Streep. But as I mentioned on a different thread, his first televised match was with Brock Lesnar and in no way is that a bad thing, squash or not. No one has gotten that much of a big match intro since Cena challenged Angle and they've done great things with Cena since. Let's wait and see if it was truly a burial, or a crude welcome to the show kid.

I don't know... I only saw the spot once at real speed so it may have actually been on the turnbuckle, but Spanky's seemingly unprotected spot back-first to the metal ring post looked pretty damn painful.

of course they did great things with cena. cena has a look. and he has talent. that makes him good. but cena could be just muscles and no talent and he'd still get a push. that's how vince thinks, he's just not right in the head. paul london has 10x the talent that cena has, but just looks like your average jobber on WWF Wrestling Challenge (god i loved that show!) hopefully this brawn over brain mentality will change when shane takes over the company.

Stephanie, not Shane, is more likely going to take over.

Plus this notion of London being buried isn't THAT true. This isn't like pro sports were everything is recorded and later viewed. WWE fans are very very stupid. Most will forget this ever happened to him months from now. He still has a chance to get his push/storyline whatever. Who knows... but its too early to say he's buried. Spanky though... is buried.

That's what Spanky gets for proving a guy his size can STILL get over. Yeah, that makes sense...bury a guy for getting over. This stuff happens all the time, all politics. Two words:
Hollywood Blondes.
Pillman and Austin got themselves over despite feelings from the front office, and thusly were broken up. Happens all the time. Getting over when the office doesn't give a shit about you is nearly a futile effort.
