Man, we really look bad in this....
Baghdad is in the area known as "the cradle of civilization" and is so rich in history and artifacts. Looks like the looting of the Baghdad museum had more than just Iraqi hands involved. Besides the sad fact our military couldn't protect the museum (priority #1-10- oil fields), journalists and even some from Fox News were looting too.
Fox News, ugh. http://abcnews.go.com/wire/World/ap20030423_797.html Officials: Seized artwork might be from Iraqi museums http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/04/22/spr...ies/index.html Does anyone care that the coalition could be responsible for this http://www.gooff.com/NM/templates/Br...d=853&zoneid=2 World's first battery looted http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/2804257.stm "It now appears that the looting of the museum was neither spontaneous nor random. In all probability, it was planned well in advance of the American-led invasion. Witnesses have spoken of seeing well-dressed men with walkie-talkies at the scene, and of artifacts being transported away in orderly convoys of vans rather than over the heads of the crowd. "We already have reports of exhibits being offered for sale in Switzerland and Japan" - Karl-Heinz Kind, Interpol's specialist officer for art and antiquity trafficking.

While we totally disagree on the Israeli/Palestinian issue, I think our opinions on this matter are probably about the same.
Shameful.
