Lizmark Signing @ Frank & Sons
So for those of you who missed Lizmark last Saturday @ Frank & Sons, He looks great. He has been wrestling for 27 years, has to be in his mid to late 40s and looks fantastic. I was drooling the entire time. I was lucky enough to pick up one of his t-shirts and original masks. He was ultra laid back and very friendly, truly one of the dying breeds of luchadores. He comes from the era of the "gentlemen" luchadores.

I havent' seen Lizmark recently but only a few years ago he seemed better than his son. Lucha has a lot of great "old" guys like Lizmark, Satanico, Dos Caras, Villano 3, etc. Japan has Tenryu and America had Flair. Longevity and quality at an old age seems more prevalent in lucha.

American wrestlers and promoters REALLY need to start looking at the longevity of past generations, and especially lucha. Look how many American pro-wrestling stars of the 80's have died prematurely, and how many 90's stars have suffered major injuries and been out for years at a time. What's different? What's killin gguys like Davey Boy Smith and nearly crippling guys like Kurt Angle, while others like Satanico seem eternal?
