Vendetta Pro Wrestling "Reflexion" results - 3/12, Santa Maria
A HISTORY MAKING NIGHT
Sellout crowd in attendance to see new Champions crowned! By Joseph Duncan Monday, March 14, 2011 23:00 PDT SANTA MARIA, CA (VP) – The Gymnasium at Lakeview Jr. High School was packed to capacity, over 1,000 in attendance, as Vendetta Pro Wrestling made it's 2011 debut with an event featuring Rik Luxury defending his Vendetta Pro Heavyweight title against Joey kAos, a three-way elimination match for the vacant Vendetta Pro Triforce title, as well as former WWE Superstars as Gangrel made his return to Vendetta Pro, and the Vendetta Pro debut of former WWE World Tag-Team, United States and InterContinental Champion Carlito. Vendetta Pro would like to thank the fans of Santa Maria for coming out and making this event one for the history books. Below are the results for this great night of hard-hitting, high-flying and exciting Professional Wrestling action – THIS is Vendetta Pro! Opening Match Famous B. -vs.- Eric Cross The high-flying Famous B. managed to get the pinfall victory over the crafty Eric Cross in the first match of the night. Winner by Pinfall: Famous B. Following the opening match, things were being set-up for the next match when “The Rock of Love” Billy Blade came out to the ring with something to say. He said that while he had been informed of his upcoming match against Carlito, he had a record release party he had to attend and would not be able to compete tonight against “that filthy Puerto Rican”. Vendetta Pro Commissioner Christian Cole came to the ring with two things to say: one, that he is of Puerto Rican descent (which obviously didn't bode well for Blade), and that Blade was contractually obligated to compete. Blade then said he'd bring out Carlito to see what he wanted to do. In came... “Carlito”, an imposter wearing a tropical-looking shirt and an afro wig. Billy Blade informed “Carlito” of his record release party, and “Carlito” agreed not to face him tonight. Commissioner Cole, not being a moron, said that Blade would still have to compete, as the real Carlito would be arriving shortly. Little did he know (or perhaps he knew all along), Carlito had just made it in. Billy went out of the ring, but the imposter “Carlito” didn't notice that the real former WWE World Tag-Team, United States and InterContinental Champion was standing right behind him. When he finally realized what was going on, he turned around, but Carlito was... “cool”... and said that he liked the shirt and that the imposter, while smaller, did a good job of trying to look like him and even raised his hand for the crowd to cheer. That said, as soon as he turned around, Carlito delivered the Back Stabber to the imposter. Blade suddenly rushed in, and as soon as Carlito got up, Billy Blade sent a message to his opponent for later in the evening as Carlito was put back down by a cheap shot Enziguri kick. Tag-Team Match Dos Perfectos Hernandez Y Jimenez -vs.- SU/KA Sunami & Kadin Anthony Dos Perfectos came out first, and before SU/KA came out, they stated that the last time these two teams faced off, that Hernandez 'Y' Jimenez had won and by rights, should be declared the Vendetta Pro Tag-Team Champions. This apparently didn't sit well with Sunami and Kadin Anthony, who quickly rushed to the ring and began to attack Dos Perfectos, running them out of the ring momentarily. This was a good back-and-forth battle, but in the end, SU/KA got revenge for their previous loss to Dos Perfectos. Perhaps a third and deciding match is in order? Winners by Pinfall: SU/KA Singles Match “Nightmare” Nathan Graves -vs.- Lucha Machine One-half of the Tag-Team EGO, Nathan Graves, took on Lucha Machine, who was looking to score what many would consider an upset in this one. It was a well fought contest, with Lucha Machine utilizing his speed and agility, but it was the experience, power and overall skills of Graves that made the difference here. Winner by Pinfall: Nathan Graves Singles Match Disco Machine -vs.- Former ECW, WWE & TNA Superstar Gangrel The Vampire Warrior The flamboyant Disco Machine danced his way out to the ring, looking to score a victory over Gangrel, who apparently wasn't impressed with Disco's antics. The... 'unique' Disco Machine often comes across as a dancing fool, but his antics did manage to psyche out Gangrel for most of the match, allowing Disco to use his wrestling ability to keep the larger man down and deal out damage. However, Disco allowed himself to get caught by The Vampire Warrior, and following the Impaler DDT, the match went to Gangrel. Winner by Pinfall: Gangrel The Vampire Warrior Triforce 3-Way Elimination Match for the vacant Vendetta Pro Triforce Championship “The Leader of the Groove Nation” Ray Rosas -vs.- “The Asian Sensation” Dana Lee -vs.- “The Fly Daddy” Jardi Frantz This match was guaranteed to crown a new Champion, as former Triforce titleholder Chimaera had to relinquish the title due to signing with World Wrestling Entertainment. This was a clash of styles, as Rosas brought in his Lucha Libre style against the Martial Arts maneuvers of Dana Lee and the Daredevil tactics of Jardi Frantz. Rosas was eliminated first, making it a one-fall match between Lee and Frantz. Dana Lee scored the pinfall, and became the second person to hold the Vendetta Pro Triforce Championship! Winner by Pinfall and NEW Vendetta Pro Triforce Champion: Dana Lee Singles Match Vendetta Pro Heavyweight Championship “Gorgeous” Joey kAos w/ Jezebel -vs.- Vendetta Pro Heavyweight Champion “Wrestling Personified” Rik Luxury Rik Luxury came in to this scheduled title defense without his manager Markus Mac. Stike one. Before the match began, Luxury began insulting Carlito, insisting that Carlito had “stolen” his finishing maneuver. Vendetta Pro Commissioner Christian Cole came out to the ring, and said that Luxury would not be allowed to use the Back Stabber move, and if he did so, he would be disqualified immediately AND the title would be awarded to kAos. Strike two. Joey kAos came out, and “The Rock Superstar” dominated the early portions of the match. Still, the crafty defending Champion bent and often outright broke the rules in order to gain an advantage. kAos managed to regain the advantage after ducking a clothesline and countering with a Swinging Neckbreaker, but not for long as the Champion showed why he is “Wrestling Personified” in that when he absolutely has to, he can wrestle just as well as anyone. The stipulation put in by the Commissioner came into play when Luxury, apparently forgetting momentarily that he is not allowed to use the Back Stabber, went to set up for it. Fortunately for him, referee Sparkey Ballard kept him from using it, which would result in him losing the match and his title. Unfortunately for him, this not only allowed kAos a moment to recover, but also gave him an opening to grab the distracted Luxury and deliver the kAostrophe. Strike three. Winner by Pinfall and NEW Vendetta Pro Heavyweight Champion: Joey kAos Inter-Gender Tag-Team Match Shannon Ballard & ThunderKitty -vs.- OMEGA & Buggy Shannon Ballard came out first, initially stating that he found himself a “diva” to team with to take on their opponents. As ThunderKitty made her way down, Ballard asked the crowd if they thought he'd do that, and then stated that he found the toughest girl he knows in ThunderKitty. Buggy then came out, but her two opponents wouldn't let her enter the ring until her partner OMEGA came out to even the odds. Originally, this match was scheduled as a Mixed Tag-Team match, in which a male competitor can only compete against his male counterpart, and a “Vendetta Vixen” may only compete against her female counterpart. However, earlier in the day, the match was changed to an Inter-Gender match, which more closely resembles a standard Tag-Team match. The male competitors can wrestle against either their male counterpart as well as their female “Vendetta Vixen” opponent. Ballard took advantage of this many times in the match, repeatedly roughing up and taunting Buggy. Still, Buggy showed that she was no slouch, and momentarily won an exchange of chops—at least until Ballard countered with a closed-fist punch. Buggy even got in a Bodyslam on Ballard! Although the match went back-and-forth several times, it was Ballard & ThunderKitty who picked up the win in what was a great match. Winners by Pinfall: Shannon Ballard & ThunderKitty After the match, Shannon Ballard continued to taunt the downed Buggy, and even reached down and slapped her across the face. OMEGA got back in and for a moment, he ran Ballard off. However, when OMEGA tried to help his partner to her feet, Ballard got back in and began to assault OMEGA. Commissioner Christian Cole came out, and stated that he was sick of Shannon Ballard and his bad attitude. He then put Ballard in a match at April Cruel's Day on April 10 in Lompoc, California at the Lompoc Boys & Girls Club against former WCW and WWE Superstar Hurricane Helms! Main Event “The Rock of Love” Billy Blade -vs.- Former WWE World Tag-Team, United States & InterContinental Champion Carlito Billy Blade came in first, playing air guitar and mocking the fans as he usually does. Carlito then came out, along with his trademark apple. He went to take a bite, when Blade grabbed the apple and threw it out into the crowd. Moments later, someone threw it back in, and a few fans brought their own apples and tossed them into the ring also. Carlito must have brought a backup apple, because he still managed to get a nice juicy bite... and then spit it into Blade's face. This match featured some good back-and-forth action, including a vicious chop from Blade to the chest of Carlito which echoed throughout the building and left the former WWE Superstar's chest red and swollen. Blade got in his brutal kicks, and locked in his famous Air Guitar lock, in which he yanks one arm back while using the opponent's other arm to mock strum a guitar – not a move known for it's physical pain as much as it's insulting nature, but Blade's singing has reportedly been known to cause a few tapouts. Still, Carlito managed to fight his way back into it, and on this night, it was Carlito who left the ring with a victory, hitting the Back Stabber and getting the three count. Winner by Pinfall: Carlito Two title matches, two new champions. Two former WWE Superstars getting well-fought wins. A great sellout crowd and an overall great evening. Our next event will be held at the Lompoc Boys & Girls Club in Lompoc, California, Sunday, April 10.
