I loved the "Lil' Donny Smith" gimmick. A battling mormon.
LDS is now "American Zero" Steve Sanchez. I believe Victor Storm is now "Northstar" Mike Vega.

Oh, God. That was hilarious. I wish I had it on tape. That battle royal was about as cohesive as the one at the Gonzo benefit (with me, David Lowe, Damien Steele, Junior, and Jason McCord running in. Damn Shogun for eliminating me!)

The entire ring filled up with everybody on the card. Then the entire ring emptied so EVERYBODY could toss Byron into the ring, whether he liked it or not. After they got him in the ring, and somebody got him down, he began throwing EVERYTHING in his pockets outside the ring. IIRC, he won the match too, since his was the first match where I had no idea WHAT to call the winner. Luckily, after the match, he rolled out to cut a promo, and gave me the name to use.

(The second time was Messiah's debut in MPW. Since we didn't know whether XPW had copywritten the name Messiah, we didn't know if we could use it. I simply had to announce him as "Well... You know who he is...")

The UIWA Pacoima shows were a lot of fun. Decimating a bathroom wall, the introduction of Furious George to the UIWA audiences. The Battle Royal for the UIWA Heavyweight Title (which is a story in itself...)

Favorite UIWA match

Wow this takes me back a bit. I cut my Indy teeth on UIWA and Ric Drasin's AWF.
Furious George and the Vigilante were intense. When I first saw the Vigilante I didn't beleive he was a wrestler, boy was I wrong!
The shows at the Pacoima B&G Club were awesome.
Thanx for the memories.

Oooh Yeayah!

The one being thrown out of the ring is Johnny Hemp. I can't tell who's throwing him out, but I want to say Foob Dogg. It's at the Westminster Boys & Girls Club, though. I was at the show (I didn't begin working for UIWA until the next Westminster show), but the only matches I can remember are Ricky Ataki -v- Brazilian Bad Boy and Red -v- Crayz that night.

Unhappy tvma

tvma,

I take it that stands for The Vigilante - Martial Artist???

Hey anyway, no disrepect meant. You were/are an awesome competitor and loved seeing you wrestle.

Are you working in any of the feds now?

If your not working this week end come on up to Newhall for the GSCW show.

Oooha Yeayah!

I'll take what I can get. Thanks. Ever since the UIWA Redneck Revolution days (the unfortunet demise that is) I helped ref a MWA match and that is about it. I talked with a few feds but my schedule is what took me out of wrestling. And I will be showing up to the GSCW show today to see Foob Dog take on Mace in an epic battle. You hear me...epic battle damn it...

Anywho Rev, the photo is something my friend posted which is Tv being clotheslined out by Malice and that is Mor (Jerry Key) in the forground. Right about Westminster though.

Word up you guys...piece.

It never got any better than Primetime Peterson vs. Tech 9 at Pacoima. I was so rivited, and that jackass kept breaking the tension yelling," Piledriver!" I've told him this to his face, so I don't mind saying I wanted to kick his ass that night.

Also, Ballards vs. Allgood in the Hood vs. Club 420 at Westminister.

The HKK/ Kazarian time limit draw in Long Beach was good, too.

Worst UIWA match of all time? Blade/Sid Vicious' brother vs. Hellkid and another guy I can't recall. Man that was painful. That one left me in need of a joint outside the club. Luckily, my homeboy Nate had one ready to go.

Speaking of Nate, he was so stoned at Pacoima he asked Crayz if spots were planned ahead of time, and if it was really scripted. I thought Crayz was gonna die, he was laughing so hard. That was truly the greatest moment in UIWA history. It was 3-4 years ago, and Crayz still talks about it.

On of my Favorite moments in UIWA history was at the first No Boundaries. It was right after the XPW Talent Raid and Phil jumped ship just days before the show but showed up in the crowd front row.

It was Primetime's return to wrestling vs. Crayz in a dog collar match. After the match Primetime Piledrove MGIII and then left, MGIII was helped out by his bodyguard. So Crayz and I sort of broke character and did a shoot on Phil, we handed him the mic let him say something and then Crayz got on the mike and said something like "Well that makes you a $2 whore" He went on with other classic lines....I have to pull out the tape now and watch it again...But that was Classic UIWA right there.

Samoan Joe as Johnny Hemp's lacky was the best story line. They did a television spot where Johnny Hemp made Somoan Joe into the Somoan and made him grunt and do Somoan things. Which leads me to believe...

BRING BACK JOHNNY HEMP!!!
