Daisuke Nakamura submitted Seichi Ikemoto in the first round
Very competivie fight on the ground by both fighters Nakamura just happened to get the uppehand and submitted Seichi without a thought

Hiroyuki Abe Drew with Naoki Matushita in the only boring fight of the night

Main show
1) Hatsu Hioki got the unanimous deicison win over Jeff Curran
Typical japanese/gaijin fight...Hioki kept his distance and worked Curran's leg raw and was able to get the judges favor for being more offensive.

2) Shinya Aoki submitted Jason black by triangle in the first
Really quiick match, Aoki just took Black by suprise and submitted him. Very impressive

3) Gilbert melendez beat Nobuhiro Obiya by unanimous deciison
GREAT GREAT fight very even as it looked on paper byt Melendez was all over Obiya in the end and deserved the win

4) Tatsuya Kawajiri beat Chris Brenna by TKO 29 sec in the first
I have always been impressed with Kawajiri and he keeps doing it by just putting Brennan to sleep and with little effort. Along with teammate Ishida I would love to see them both take on Gomi at one time or another.

5) Mituhiro Ishida beat Crisitano Marcello by unanimous decision
I enjoy Ishida's style alot and I have to say he has shades of being a mini Fedor. The guy can beat the shit out of people on the ground, which works for him because he has excellent wrestling skills so chances are if he wants u down he'll get ya down. Plus once ur there, ur not getting back up. The thing is though Ishida hasnt shown much stand up skill and he doesnt seem to have the skill to end any fight early as his previous fight (though again he dominated) he just had no way of knocking or submitting his opponent. Oh well still would lovew to see him figt Gomi

6) Mach Sakurai beat Luciano Azvedo by doctor stoppage
Good fight while it lasted but a shot to the head oppened a huge uct that ended up ending the fight.

7) Minowa submitted Butterbean
Ok...so this match was pretty much what it was supposed to be. I have to question if it was rigged or something because Minowa was able to toss off two dropkicks and was amzingly bale to roll Butterbean OFF of him...how the hell..oh well the people love Minowa and I guess thats what matters...

8) Denis Kang sumbitted Amar Suloev by RNC
Kang and Filho are my favorites in the finals and Kang took Sulove out without breaking a sweat. Kang will be v ery hard to beat

9) Paulo Filho submitted Ryo chonan in the first by armbar
See above and just replace Kang with Filho.

10) Gono submitted Gegard Mousasi by armbar in the second.
I was kinda suprised that Gono won because Mousassi was very impressive in his last fight. Mousassi started out very strong BUT Gono came back and was able to pull off the had fought sub

11) Kazuo Misaki beat Dan Henderson by unanimous deciison
HUGE upset as Misaki just took the fight to Henderson, even Henderson looked suprise. Everything that the reigning WW champ was throwing at Misaki, he just absorbed and fired back...it was a VERY VERY impressive fight.

12) Gomi beat David Baron by RNC in the first
Gomi's return was forutnatly a success...though baron did give him more of a fight than he should of, but Gomi waitted his time and got the eventual RNC.

Now with Henderson out of the WWGp its anyones game...though Im pretty sure DSE would NOT hav their two japanese fighters fight against each other (though that does guarantee one japanese in the WW finals) either way I still hav Filho and Kang meeting in the finals...though Misaki was very impressive in his win over henderson...and Gono isnt a slouch either...so it should be good.
