Hardcore In SoCal?

So with the demise of XPW all of those years ago, I was just wandering if another fed had stepped up to take its hardcore loving fanbase in SoCal?
I mean, it's been proven that hardcore draws in SoCal so I would have thought there'd be at least one promotion that has attempted to fill the shoes of XPW, but I haven't actually heard of such.

No one wants to see hardcore anymore. And it never drew. XPW had to comp 75% of it's attendance.

also spamming the board by replying to every topic is lame.

Of course there has been hardcore. It was called SCCW and run by the same guys behind XPW, sans Rob Black. You can see how that went.

Let's not forget the powerhouse feds like GXW or UEW.

Seriously, though, even a fed like FCW, while being more of a lucha-based promotion, tried to add that XPW feel by using guys like Sabu, Messiah, Kaos, Veronica Caine, and Supreme (and can you ever have enough of Messiah vs. Supreme?) but that shit got booed out of the building over the lucha that everyone was actually there to see.

I don't think that kinda shit is popular with anyone over like the age of 12 or 13. I thought like FMW, Big Japan, W*NG etc. was awesome in like 1995 and then after you leave junior high and shit you realize it's total crap.

I don't think XPW was ever popular because it was "hardcore", those shows were a place you knew you could see some hilarious shit so that was pretty much the appeal.

SCCW had some deathmatches during thier 2 show run. Sadly, they arent running any shows anytime soon.

Whatever the promotion is that's run by Mr. Calfornia claims hardcore. Back in May or June, they flew in 2 Tuff Tony and Corporeal Robinson to kick his ass. I talked to Tony this last weekend, and he plans to be there the last week in August to have a deathmatch with "live" florescent (SP) bulbs.

The rest of the card at the last show was the worst wrestling I'd ever seen. But if you're looking for some blood, it might be worth stopping by for the final fight of the night.
