BPW presents Taking Liberties May 26th at 8pm

Rico Dynamite vs. Nick Madrid for the BPW Heavyweight Title was already signed last show by Those Guys. What do they have in store for Mikey and Loco after the two of them wreaked more havoc at Spring Breakdown? Who will challenge Famous B for the WCWC Heavyweight Title? Details coming soon!

Congrats on the APW Young Lions Cup!

BPW would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to Ray Rosas and Sasha Darevko for representing Battleground Pro Wrestling in the prestigious APW Young Lions' Cup this past weekend in Hayward, CA. APW is arguably one of the most recognized names in independent wrestling in all the United States, having appeared in the popular documentary Beyond The Mat and produced several WWE Superstars over the years. Both men had strong matches in the tournament and showed why Battleground Pro Wrestling is making a name for itself on the independent landscape. Well done guys!

Sean Black Tabbed to Host New Segment at BPW Taking Liberties!

I know what you are thinking, yes we went there! Sean Cosby, or Black, or whatever, has requested his own segment on the BPW shows to explore the backgrounds of some of the stars here at BPW. He feels that wrestlers are interesting people, and put in the right situations, they are sure to say some pretty wild stuff! No word yet on who his first guest will be, but whoever it is, you will not want to miss the first installment of Wrestlers Say The Darndest Things!

BPW Match of the Week

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhHyoZQMJcE

From Spring Breakdown

The Suburban Commandos/Sam Knight vs. The Brothers Darevko/Sean Black

Last month, Sasha and Alexis revealed their psychological wild card on Sam Knight, choosing his tag partner Sean Black as their mystery partner. But this was no ordinary Sean Black! "Something Nasty" apparently has disoriented the poor Mr. Black to the point of him displaying multiple personalies. More specifically, he thinks he is Bill Cosby, and the Darevkos took advantage of his fragile state to get in Sam Knight's head. It's all here in the BPW Match of the Week!

Battleground Pro Wrestling Presents
Taking Liberties
May 26th @ 8pm, doors open at 7:30pm
American Legion Post 716
3252 Florista St. Los Alamitos, CA

Spring Breakdown served as retribution for most of the BPW fan favorites as Those Guys stacked the deck in their favor. In fact, since their debut, Those Guys have sent shock waves through the BPW locker room, finally restoring some much needed balance and putting Commissioner Dan E. Ramirez on edge. For Taking Liberties, they have already made the main event Heavyweight title match between Rico Dynamite and Nick Madrid, and they have vowed to do something about the destructive feud between Mikey O'Shea and Extreme Loco. The Darevkos have also seemed to draw the ire of this unbiased third party, and time will tell what measures T.V. and Furious George will take to right the wrongs that have plagued BPW in the past year.

BPW Heavyweight Championship
Rico Dynamite(c) vs. Nick Madrid

At Brawl in the Hall in March, Nick Madrid arrived to great fanfare and defeated BPW Ring Warrior Champion Jeremy Jaeger in singles competition. Feeling the heat from a new Alpha Male, Rico launched a cowardly attack on the young star, earning Madrid a non-title match from Those Guys last month at Spring Breakdown. At that show, these two couldn't wait until the main event to fight and wound up wrestling in their street clothes in the second match of the evening! Rico, as usual, took a shortcut and clobbered Madrid with the belt, getting himself DQ'd. Those Guys were not pleased, so they made this rematch for Taking Liberties. This time they forced Rico Dynamite to put up his coveted BPW Heavyweight Championship belt, and now the Raunchy one's worst nightmare is one step away from coming true! Can Nick Madrid shock the BPW world by finally taking the strap off the long tenured champ? Or will Rico Dynamite solidify his place as the BPW resident Alpha Male and Heavyweight Champion?

WCWC Heavyweight Title
Famous B(c) vs. AJ Kirsch

The second of three marquee Heavyweight Title matches, the WCWC Heavyweight Championship match sees the arrival of former Tough Enough competitor A.J. Kirsch to the BPW arena. Kirsch has been up and down the coast since his stint on the popular WWE reality show, wrestling the best talent that the West Coast has to offer. Now he faces arguably the hottest up and coming star in the whole state in Famous B. Famous B is no stranger to stiff competition, and now that he holds the coveted WCWC Heavyweight Title, he has got a large target on his back! Can B successfully defend his belt for a second time? Or will A.J. Kirsch score one for Nor Cal and take the belt back to the Bay Area?

ACE Heavyweight Championship
Sheik Khan Abadi vs. El Chupacabra(c)

BPW is gaining quite a reputation for being THE place to be in Southern California. Talent from all over the state is clamoring to come to our company and defend their titles, and many could say that Legion Post 716 is a Battleground of Champions! Enter El Chupacabra, who has held the ACE Heavyweight Title for several months now. Chupy has been a fighting champion, successfully defending against all comers. Recently, he has been locked in a bitter feud with BPW mainstay and consensus Number 1 in Nor Cal Sheik Khan Abadi, and now their rivalry takes a So Cal twist!

Three marquee heavyweight championship matches, three potential main events for Taking Liberties! We at BPW pride ourselves on bringing you the big time matchups you want to see, and May 26th might mark our biggest show to date! Stay tuned for more details as they emerge!

Famous B will be at Taking Liberties, shouldnt you?

Famous B thinks you should be at BPW presents Taking Liberties, and not just because he is defending his WCWC Heavyweight Belt against former Tough Enough star A.J. Kirsch! Be there May 26th to see the best wrestling show Orange County has to offer!

It's been two months since Nick Madrid arrived in BPW, and already he's gunning for the Heavyweight Championship. That's quite an accomplishment, but part of his situation is due to the champ himself, Rico Dynamite. Rico attacked Madrid his first night, jump starting a rivalry that looks to be ready to explode at Taking Liberties. The stakes are high, can Madrid live up to his meteoric rise?

Famous B tells A.J. Kirsch who the man is in The West Coast Wrestling Company

After a successful first title defense last month, the Famous one prepares to head into battle once more, this time against A.J. Kirsch. However, before these men meet on May 26th, B gives Kirsch some advice.

BPW asked Tito Escondido to wait until an official announcement was made before speaking about his match at Taking Liberties against Jeremy Jaeger and Tyler Bateman for Jaeger's BPW Ring Warrior belt. Never one to follow instructions, Tito decided to take it upon himself to say a little something to his opponents, Bateman in particular. It seems Tito is more concerned with settling an old score rather than the prestige of the Ring Warrior belt, and that just might play perfectly into the plans of the champion Jeremy Jaeger!

For the past 3 months, Tito Escondido and Tyler Bateman have been locked in a bitter feud. For 4 months, Jeremy Jaeger has been involved in tag matches against The Working Dead and has managed to hold on to the Ring Warrior belt without every really defending it. Now his first official defense will be against two men who, though they hold a considerable size advantage, seem more concerned with taking each other out. Can Jaeger avoid the two bulls as they wreck up the china shop? Or will they turn their horns on the champ and take his gold?

Taking Liberties has become a night of champions, and talk about unlikely tag partners! When Those Guys set out to make a statement, they make sure everyone is listening. Mikey and Loco have been wreaking havoc on each other and everyone in their wake since Loco turned on Mikey at November Pain, and Those Guys have intervened on behalf of humanity to ensure the safety of all of those in attendance. Per Those Guys, Mikey and Loco will have to co-exist as a tag team against arguably the most dominant tag team in all the land, The Suburban Commandos. Since their arrival in BPW, the tag team champs have left nothing but bodies in their path. Now these four behemoths will do battle for the tag titles, and you have gotta feel sorry for the ring! Can Mikey and Loco coexist without ripping out each other's throats?

Extreme Loco heard about his tag match with partner Mikey O'Shea, and needless to say he is not happy! As a matter of fact, he has flat out refused to tag with his bitter enemy, and has implored Those Guys to come up with a better plan. What will Those Guys do in response?

8 man tag team scramble!

The tag team division in BPW has never been stronger, with several marquee teams vying for supremacy. The competition is stiff and none of the teams has really established themselves as the front runner to take on The Suburban Commandos for the belts, until now. The BPW brass has come up with a unique concept featuring 4 of the hottest teams in the company, and it should be a recipe for excitement! To start the match, The Working Dead and The Silverheart Radicalz will team against The Revolution and Circumsexy. Simple enough right? Now here is the catch. Once a winner of the 8 man is determined, the winning team will then have to fight each other to determine the number 1 contenders! 8 wrestlers, 4 exciting teams, and only one will be left standing in the end!

Those Guys Respond to Loco

To put it mildly, Extreme Loco did not like Those Guys' decision to team him up with his bitter rival Mikey O'Shea at Taking Liberties. He suggested they come up with something else or else he would not compete. Not to be intimidated, Those Guys have issued a response in their own eccentric kinda way! If Extreme Loco cannot co-exist with Mikey on Saturday night, he will be fired!
