When doing a search for some results for the history section of SCU I came across these old SCCW results from May 1998. Since someone brought up SCCW on the old board (or maybe socal-wrestling's) the other day, what better time to post this than now? Look at the signature!

SCCW Results for 5/31/98 in Fountain Valley:
Card started with Ring Announcer Kris Kaloss saying that since the "Iceman" Joe
Bowman won the Battle Royal on Thursday that he gets a match with anyone,
anywhere, anytime.
Interview Number One: Bowman came out to comment on who he was going to
chalenge. As soon as Bowman got in the ring, The Creeper came running out and
hit Bowman with his bat. The Creeper seemed a lot taller and he was wearing a
pair of blue jeans under his robe, which was a little strange. The Creeper
then continued to beat on the "Iceman" until Referee Patrick Hernandez broke
things up.
Match Number One: American Wildchild over Super Dragon via a Flying Leg Drop.
Very impressive opening match, with plenty of action. The match started with
the world renowned manager Tony Quiones Jr. coming to ringside. The American
Wildchild and Super Dragon battled back and forth, with American Wildchild
getting a lot of fan heat, for about five minutes. Then Super Dragon threw
American Wildchild to the floor and hit an Asai Moonsault which sent both men
into the announcing table. Then Super Dragon threw American Wildchild back
into the ring and hit an awesome Michinoku Driver II, which was followed up by
a 450 Splash. American Wildchild barely kicked out at 2 and 3/4. Then
American Child got the advantage and finished off Super Dragon with a flying
leg drop.
Match Number Two: SCCW Title Tournament Round One Match: "Iceman" Joe Bowman
over The Creeper via the Spinal Tap.
Bowman, who is usually calm, was irate about the sneak attack earlier in the
card and immediately took it to The Creeper. Bowman used a chair several times
and was near DQ several more. Eventually The Creeper gained the advantage,
only to miss a flying elbow drop, which allowed the "Iceman" to lock on his
submission hold the Spinal Tap. After the match Bowman unmasked The Creeper,
only to reveal that it wasn't The Creeper at all, but an imposter.
Match Number Three: "Big Sexy" Cincinnati Red w/ Shooting Star over Sheriff
Jess Hansen via a Moonsault.
Shooting Star and "Big Sexy" came down to ringside and carried on about how
great "Big Sexy" is. Finally the Sheriff made his way out and took it to
Cincinnati Red. Unfortunately Shooting Star was always there to lend a helping
hand, which offend gave "Big Sexy" the advantage. Then "Highflyin'" Johnny
Hemp made his way to ringside and confronted Shooting Star. Then "Big Sexy"
had Hansen in a submission hold and a fire alarm from up the street went off,
which some fans thought was the timekeeper who had made a mistake, when really
it was just a fire alarm so the match continued. After that "Big Sexy" decided
to take it to the air and hit the "Sheriff" with some impressive highflying.
Then "White Trash" Johnny Webb comes out and confronts Hemp. The Webb makes
his way over to were the Timekeeper, Adair Cole, and the SCCW Commissioner,
Kevin Kleinrock, were seated. Webb verbally berated Kleinrock, because Webb
felt he should have been in the title tournament. And while all this
confussion was going on outside the ring, "Big Sexy" hit Hansen with a
moonsault for the one, two, three.
Match Number Four: Yakuza over Mr. Excitement (Who replaced Blitzkrieg.) via a
Splash Mountain turned into a powerbomb.
The match was scheduled to be Yakuza vs. Blitzkrieg, but the American Wildchild
attacked Blitzkrieg from behind. Then Mr. Excitement came out and chalenged
Yakuza, because he claims that Yakuza and American Wildchild are nothing but a
couple of punks. Then Kevin Kleinrock, who is always aiming to please the
fans, allowed the match to happen. The match started and once again, Tony
Quoines Jr. came to ringside watch. Mr. Excitement had the momentum, until
American Wildchild attacked him. Then Yakuza set Mr. Excitement up for a
Splash Mountain, Yakuza then threw Mr. Excitement up and caught him with a
sitting powerbomb, which was good for the one, two, three. The Splash Mountain
varation by Yakuza was very impressive, even if it is hard to explain.
Match Number Five: The Samoan Kid w/ Kano over Chester Ike Adams (C.I.A.) via
a Thesz Press off the top rope.
C.I.A. came out ready to fight, but everytime he got the advantage Kano was
there to help The Samoan Kid out. Finally The Samoan Kid was able to gain the
advantage, with help from Kano, only to miss a big splash from the top. This
gave C.I.A. an opportunity to finish off The Samoan Kid, so C.I.A. set The
Samoan Kid up on the top turnbuckle and look to be going for a hurricanranna,
when The Samoan Kid hit C.I.A. with a vicious headbutt. Which enabled The
Samoan Kid to execute a Thesz Press off the top.
Match Number Six: Nick Beat over Kaos 1 via the Bongo Drop.
Nick Beat was basically dominating the whole match, due to his size advantage.
But everytime Nick Beat got ahead, Kaos 1 would come back and give Beat a run
for his money. Then Johnny Hemp came to ringside and was watching the match
for some unknown reason. Finally Beat hit Kaos 1 with a Tombstone, which
allowed him to easily put Kaos 1 away with the Bongo Drop. Then Hemp jumped in
the ring and got nose to nose with Nick Beat. And right when they looked as if
they were going to go at it, they shook hands! Then they celebrated in the
ring and walked off together!
Match Number Seven: Extreme Rules 3 Way Dance: Gurrero Azteca over
"Highflyin'" Johnny Hemp via a rolling cradle.
The match started with Hemp vs. Azteca. Then after struggling back and forth
with Azteca, Hemp forcefully tagged in Webb. After that it was a three way
brawl, every man for himself! Then Webb pulled out a roll of pennies and was
about to clock Azteca with them, when Hemp grabbed the roll and floored Webb
with it. After that Hemp easily pinned Webb. Webb then stumbled from the ring
and started heading towards the exit. After wandering around for a while, Webb
reached the Commissioner, who was seated at ringside. Webb asked where the
locker room was, he was obviously dazed from the shot he took. Finally the
Commissioner, Kevin Kleinrock, showed Webb the way to the locker room. While
all this was going on outside the ring, Hemp was dominating Azteca inside the
ring. But unfortunately for Hemp, he got a little too cocky, and a little too
careless, and Azteca suprised him with a rolling cradle for the pin.
