Just read this Press Release over at Wrestling Arena Observer Driver, and I think its a great step for one of UPW's finest.

For Immediate Release:

Astroglide, maker of the the number one lubricant among homosexual males, has signed Up-and-Coming Wrestler, "The Outlaw" Marshall Knox, of Ultimate Industries, to an exclusive endorsement deal. The one year contract would make Knox the official spokeman for Astroglide and its family of products.

"Could we have found a better spokesman for our product? The answer is no, we couldn't have. Marshall is slowly working his way through the ranks in the professional wrestling industry, hopefully one day earning himself a spot with the World Wrestling Federation. And he's gay. We couldn't have found a better endorser," remarked Astroglide CEO, Franklin Baxter.

"I was working a show, when Gary [Astroglide director of PR] approached me and said, 'Hey, are you gay?' and I was like 'Yeah' and he was like '[expletive deleted] SWEET! We will pay you to endorse our product.' And then I was like 'Wha?' and he was like 'We will pay you to say you like Astroglide' and I was like 'Huh?' and finally after he showed me crude 'cave pictures' of him handing me money for him to capture my soul on this magical canvas he calls 'pictures' I agreed. Plus, I actually use this product, so its like a sweet deal," Knox stated at the conference. "Its about time Gay Cowboys started getting press coverage, and I for one am happy to lend a helping hand."

Astroglide then showcased its new ad line, which would target the Homosexual Cowboy market. "Its about time someone really targeted the Gay Cowboy market. And I don't mean with fistfuls of feces to be slung in their faces while rednecks in pickups shout hurtful remarks. Astroglide feels that the unlocked potential in the Gay Cowboy market would produce record setting sales profits and net gains."

The festivites were then capped off by the unvailing of the first in series of magazine ads which would begin a national run this March. The following Ad was presented:

The article then goes on about sales figures and representation in the media, followed by a performance by a group called "Tears For Queers." Anways, its great to see Socal wrestlers get publicity, even if it is as a Gay Cowboy, I guess.
