Lucha Masks available to Canada?

Hiya Gang,

I'm brand spanking new to the world of Lucha Libre and so far I'm really digging what I see so far..

I've checked all over the 'Net including eBay for information and such about masks, and it's a little bit overwhelming.

So many of the sellers on eBay say they have "pro" masks etc etc, and I've gotten e-mail from other sellers telling me that the professional grade item I'm bidding on isn't quite authentic etc etc..

Is there a specific place I can order high quality masks from? I'm in Canada right now, and there's little to no exposure to Lucha Libre here..

also, watch out for masks on ebay from a seller under the name "freelybid" he was formerly "zekelito" who was booted from ebay because of his shitty masks he passing off as pro. enough buyers got pissed off and reported his ass. another guy is known as "bestmasks" i think. his are pretty horrible. others usually don't claim to have pro when they don't. i don't sell those cheap foam ones. i sell only semi pro which are a quality just under the pro level, which is great for an entry level collector who does'nt want to dish out big bucks. my auctions never have reserves, and usually start at 10 bucks.

Yes, i agree bucio makes excellent masks. juan guerrero from l.a. makes awesome pro masks as well. but you will pay the price. Chombo is also a fantastic mask maker. as well. I have masks from these guys in my personal collection. Juan is a friend of mine. If you can get masks directly from these guys, get them.

First i'd like to say that Juan G. does not make the mysterio masks i put up on ebay. Shit, he wont even make a rey mysterio mask unless he knows you due to wwe problems. (which i also had). wow you guys are out there. the best thing to do if you are a real mask collector. is to buy a mask from the luchador himself!!!!! that is the best way to get a real pro mask or ring worn. if you don't have a way to meet them in person, then you need to find someone out here that you can trust to get it for you.there are only a few people that you can trust out here!

i can't think of too many more legit ones out there?
always be careful when buying any mask over $50.00
a fake mask runs about $30.00 to $40.00 if it's a great semi-pro
a real mask can run ya from around $100.00 and up just depending on who it is.

Lemme tell ya. when dealing with Mil Mascaras.. I have for several years now directly, he will not sell one of his mask to you for less than 200 bucks.. thats the minimum. I have seen him sue people over masks that he did not authorize. So Just be careful with his stuff. I want to Second the Ebay Fella Zeiklo he is now running under freelybid, and sellin the same crap. I have just over 100 some odd masks mainly from mil himself, Masked superstar, and Tiger Mask.

Hi to everyone, here's the deal about masks.

In Mexico we have over 50 mask makers, from these about 10 have very good reputation. Bucio is one of them, his masks are one of the cheapest, ant are very tough. That's why many wrestlers use them, but they are far from being well made. Rey Misterio's masks are made by Gustavo Bucio, not by Arturo Bucio that is the famous one. I can point out three excellent Masks Makers, Rolling, La Furia and Raul Romero. These masks are very difficult to get. There are also very good mask makers, that are not famous but do an excellent job like: Juan Gog that makes Dos Caras Jr masks, Saul Hernandez, Coco verde, flama dorada, Osiris, mohicano, Toro irisson, veneno, kalery and many others. I have a mask of Mike Woody, and I am very impressed by his job, his masks are really well made, the only recomendation would be to use double cloth on the masks to make them more tough, however for collecting, they are more than perfect. I have acces to nearly all of the mask makers in Mexico, and I can buy you the masks, and ship them if interested. Depending on the quality, wrestler and price I can select a mask maker. I normally don't sell masks, I only exchange with other collectors. But for me, masks are part of the mexican culture, and I wan't to share this.
