It's making the rounds that the WWE recently trademarked "Jesus Aguilera", and it's obviously likely that the former SoCal standout will be given the name.

I always thought that naming a wrestler "Jesus" was bad idea in American wrestling... Particularly in areas where the hispanic population is low and in the deep south, it tends to leave a negative impact on the fans who cannot shake the religious connotations. If you have to change the name from Aaron to something more ethnic, why not just name him "Miguel", or "Julio"? I have a feeling "Jesus" is NOT the answer for Hardcore Kidd's initial WWE run.

Am I thinking too much about this?

I'm sure they are going to try to bring out a hispanic gimmick. "Aaron" sounds a lot better, but I guess it would shatter the whole point of the character.

Because in McMahonland, a hispanic person would NEVER be named Aaron. It would be Poncho, or Pedro.

I read on some spoilers that he debuts this week on Smackdown as Carlito Carribean Cool's new "thug".

Hmmm Ryan Sakoda, Tajiri "thug"; Horshu, now Luther Reigns, Kurt Angle "thug" and now Aaron Jesus Aguilera, CCC's "thug" I hope they have him do more than stand there and look tough, the guy's better on the mike than 90 percent of the current WWE roster
