-Super Otaku vs. El Flaco Loco
The show started off fast, and the fans were really into the entire show. Loudest crowd I have heard since APW's King City show, but still not quite that loud. I was happy to see Flaco in PWI, and he wrestled a very solid match against Otaku who (I think) I have never seen before. Otaku has a great gimmick, and a funny looking mask. The fans were really behind Flaco, and he was able to pick up the win in a good opening match.
WINNER: El Flaco Loco ( * * )

Ron Hed then came out, and it was nice to see him again, and The SAT's (Jose & Joel Maximo) cut a promo talking about how they were going to win the PWI Tag Team Titles tonight when they beat Michael Modest & Donovan Morgan. However, the interview was cut short by Morgan who jawed back and forth with The Maximo's about tonights match. Donovan has improved on the mic.

-"Filthy" Frank Murdoch vs. Apollo Kahn (with Mayan)
Murdoch showed how filthy he can be by attacking Kahn before the bell rang and beat him down with a steel chair. The ref's and security guards had to get him off Apollo, and the match was thrown out. Frank was DQ'ed before the bell sounded. Later on in the night, Kahn came out and cut a very good promo on Frank, saying he would meet him the next night (tonight) in Lathrop and get his revenge.
WINNER: Apollo Kahn by DQ ( 0 )

-Sara Del Ray vs. Sumie Sakai
Sara looked pretty good with her new gear, and she was very much hated by the fans. She even spit on the fans in the front row! Totally different Sara than I was used to seeing. Sumie Sakai was very impressive. She had a ton of charisma, very loveable, and a great wrestler. These two put on a very good match, and Sumie's energy combined with Sara's anger made it even more fun to watch. Sumie won with a roll-up that surprised Sara after a very high-energy match that the fans were really into.
WINNER: Sumie Sakai ( * * * )

-"Shooter" Tony Jones & ??? vs. Ryan Drago & Lars Dauger
I didn't catch the parnter of Jones' name, and even asked someone who worked for PWI and they didn't even know. The one recurring problem all night was the ring mic kept going out, so I appoligize for not catching the guys name. He only did a lot of basic stuff and left eveything else to Jones. And Shooter was awesome as he has always been. His suplexes were nasty, and he dumped Drago & Dauger on their heads and on their backs from every position imaginable. I believe the finish was Jones' belly-to-belly from the top to pick up the win for his team.
WINNERS: Tony Jones & ??? ( * * )

-Kryptonite & Seymour Snott vs. Super Diablo & "Tornado" Tony Kozina
It was so strange to see all of these guys in the ring together, just a lot of guys from a lot of different era's in my life as a wrestling fan, all in there together. It was pretty cool. Seymour looked really good and has put on a lot of muscle, but was pretty much the same as he has always been in the department of wrestling. Kryptonite has more of a pro look to him as well with his longer hair, and he has a lot more muscle now. I think Kozina is on another level than all of these guys, and he will have a better match tonight when he faces Vito Thomaselli. Nothing real special match-wise here, just good to see all four of them.
WINNERS: Super Diablo & Tony Kozina ( * 1/2)

-Vinny Massaro & "Big Ugly" JD Bishop vs. THE IRON SAINTS: Vito & Sal Thomaselli
Man, the familiar faces just kept coming, and it was great to see Vinny Massaro again. First time in a long time, and he has dropped about 50 pounds but was just as strong as ever. Teaming with Big Ugly is a good idea, and their match with The Iron Saints was great. I liked Sumie/Sara best up until this one which was just about as good. Vinny had some cool moves as usual, and picked up the win with a head/arm suplex into a powerbomb (called "Forgetaboutit"). Vito/Sal are such a good team, and worked really well with these two bigger guys. I liked this match a lot.
WINNERS: Vinny Massaro & JD Bishop ( * * * )

*PWI Tag Team Championship*
-TEAM KAOS: Donovan Morgan & Michael Modest (with Eddie Corvin) vs. The SAT's: Jose & Joel Maximo
This was the match that I was mostly looking forward to more than anything. And they delivered a pretty good one. It was nice to see Modest again, as he is still one of my favorites of all time, and I was really impressed with Donovan. He looked in good a shape as ever, and he worked a very good match. The SAT's were also pretty good, but I think I have seen them in much better matches in the past. Just two totally different styles of teams, that are both awesome, and put together a pretty good match. Donovan/Modest are so mean though, and along with Eddie Corvin as their manager, they are easily the most hated men in PWI.
The match was very hot and the crowd loved every bit of it. I loved Donovan's DDT to the floor on one of the Maximo's, and his drop-down neckbreaker with his knees (a move that I have never seen before). Good match, that Modest/Donovan won after Modest hit the Reality Check and picked up the pinfall and the titles.
After the match, which got a huge ovation from the crowd, Modest/Donovan said that the fans could pay $50 to come in the ring and pose with the champs. Modest put down the fans of San Leandro and said that you couldn't pay him enough money to touch them. Pretty funny stuff. The match was good, and I was mostly looking forward to seeing SAT's, but I was pleasantly surprised when Donovan/Mike stole the show. Donovan was really on tonight, and Michael Modest is still one of the most entertaining men in wrestling today.
WINNERS: Michael Modest & Donovan Morgan to become the NEW PWI Tag Team Champions ( * * * 1/2)

*PWI Heavyweight Championship*
-Bison Smith vs. BJ Whitmer
This is the first time I have seen Whitmer, and he is a pretty good sized guy that can work very well. I have always been a huge fan of Bison, and his look has improved a lot since the last time I saw him too. Good solid match that was very hard hitting. Bison is the best "BIG" worker in the NorCal scene today, and his body is in great condition. Bison was able to pick up with win with a nice Iron Claw Slam followed by a Styles Clash to pick up the win and retain the championship.
WINNER: Bison Smith retains the title ( * * * )

-Mitsuharu Misawa & Yoshinari Ogawa over Bart Blaxson & Nigel McGuinness
It was awesome once again seeing Misawa/Ogawa live, and it was my first look at Nigel McGuinness, who ended up being one of my favorites after the match. He had a good presence about him, and some really cool offense. Love that European style. Misawa/Ogawa were just too much for Bart/Nigel though, and after a pretty good match they were able to pick up the win. Misawa/Ogawa got a standing ovation from the fans for coming all the way to the states and working for them. Definitely not Misawa's usual style of great match, but just a great experience to see him live.
WINNERS: Mitsuharu Misawa & Yoshinari Ogawa ( * *1/2)

I thought this was a really good show also.Very hot crowd from start to finish.Sara vs sumie was motn imo.Best womens match ive seen in the us in a long time. Not sure id rank the main or the morgon/modest vs sat quite so high. The main minus nigel was nothing special. While the kaos vs sat was pretty good,it bordered on a squash for most of the match.Would have liked to have seen alot more offense out of the sat.Nice to see ron hed again.Didnt even recognize him at first. He has really cleaned up his look. From start to finish a very fun show. With the exception of having mic issues it all came off very professionally. It should come off very well on tv.Cant wait till i get the chance to see my next pwi show.Well worth the drive for those who havent been.
