3PW POSTPONES 4/27 ECW ARENA EVENT
Mike Johnson of 1wrestling.com report Pro-Pain Pro Wrestling announced today that it's scheduled 4/27 event at the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, PA has been postponed until 5/18.
The date change was due to a number of mitigating factors. The Sandman, who was booked and advertised to work the main event against New Jack in their first ever singles match, informed 3PW that he planned to work a shot in California that night instead. Sandman will be working for 3PW on their rescheduled date. Steve Corino was forced to cancel his booking when he was informed by Japan's Zero-One that he would be touring the Orient the same week.
The Blue Meanie, who is the promotion's booker commented, "As much as we wanted to run on April 27th, there were a few things beyond our control that would have made it hard to put on a show we could be happy with. We're rescheduling, reshuffling a few things around and hopefully we can give the fans an entertaining show on May 18th. It was the best decision we could make for the fans. I invite everyone to see what we have to offer in May."
Another factor may have been the accidental scheduling snafu that ended up with 3PW and RF Video's Ring of Honor (http://www.rohwrestling.com) promotion running the same neighborhood within a five minute walk of each other.
As Buck Woodward pointed out in a recent column, Philadelphia area wrestling fans who normally would have supported both groups would have been forced to choose one or the other. Now, they will have the opportunity to spend their money on both promotions.
3PW is working on a revised lineup for 5/18, which will be announced shortly. For more on 3PW including a bus trip from the New York area for the 5/18 event, visit their website at http://www.3PWrestling.com

SABU AND TOD GORDON RETURNING TO ECW ARENA FOR 3PW
Mike Johnson of 1wrestling.com report After shuffling dates and talent, Pro-Pain Pro Wrestling has finalized it's rescheduled event for the ECW Arena on Saturday 5/18 and it's a doozy for those of you who miss the glory days of Extreme Championship Wrestling.
The new main event for the show will feature Sandman vs. New Jack vs. Sabu in a Bodybag Match with ECW founder Tod Gordon serving as the special referee. According to the 3PW website, a competitor is eliminated when he is trapped in the bodybag.
The Three-Way will be the first time that combination of former ECW stars have competed in the same match and will be Sabu's first appearance in ECW Arena in over a year.
Others scheduled for 3PW on 5/18 include Christian York, Joey Matthews, Flyboy Rocco Rock, The Blue Meanie, Jasmin St. Claire, Colt Cabana, Chris Hero, Kevin Knight, Bilvis Wesley, Rapid Fire Maldonado, and Allison Danger. Jerry Lynn and Crowbar will not be appearing on the rescheduled event.
For ticket information, visit http://www.3PWrestling.com. Those of you who purchased tickets for the original 4/27 event will have those seats honored on 5/18.
