Right now
Ultimate Spider-man is a great read. And now even better with the Ultimate X-men crossover starting.
The Wolverine comic book went back to 1 and number 1 is one kick ass issue.
The Ultimates is good too but it's Bi-Monthly which kills the book in a way.

Thanks to Brian Micheal Bendis of course :-D
Can't say i've read the recent issues (i stopped at around 28 or 29 not sure) but it is one of those "all around good" titles that you can give to Grandma Mary or Little Timmy to read.
Personally my favorite "all around good" title is Harley Quinn.
I expected HQ to be a crappy, big-name $$ making title that would die out in 4 months, but no, it surprised the hell out of me! It only keeps getting better and better, with a sick little sense of humor.
Y-The Last Man, though, wow.... it's a title everyone should be reading. *waits for trades*
.....
*needs money* :(
Who's writing and illustrating the new Wolvie?

Greg Rucka writes, Darick Robertson draws.

Yeah, I was reading the Hush storyline at Borders the other day. I've been outta the comic loop for awhile, but I really liked that storyline. Probably because I collected back in the early 90's, and loved alotta Jim Lee's stuff back then. I like Catwoman's new gear too.

Right now, the only stuff I'm actively following is Y: The Last Man, 100 Bullets and the New X-Men.
I also enjoyed Wolverine-- I like the new "look," plus Darick Robertson is probably my favorite artist.
I was also into 21 Down, but its lost my intrest the last few issues.
My favorites of all time are Hellboy, Transmetropolitan and Sin City.
Of the new and "upcoming" series, I'm looking forward to Punisher: Born. Its illustrated by Robertson, and takes place during Vietnam. The Crew looks pretty intresting, and I liked the first issue of Human Defense Corps. I'd also really like to see J. Michael Straczynski finish off Rising Stars.

I really liked the Power Company, but DC cancelled it. Aquaman is real good right now. Nothing tops Alan Moore's run on Swamp Thing though.

Damn didn't know this many people still buy comic books
Have you noticed that every time you walk into the comic book shops these days it's nothing but young adults.
Also wanted to add to my list of comics I read is Spider-Girl. They keep on canceling this book and bring it back so i gave it a try and it's not half bad.

... why?
comics are not even worth collecting anymore.
then again, sales and "most wanted" lists have been hitting some highs lately (ie, the coveted Batman #608, i believe is one of them, and the 30 Days of Night #1 too). So those books, i can understand.
Ultimates, however, not too sure (maybe Ultimate Spidey #1 and its many variations, or even #22...??). Ultimate books are printed in large numbers and are re-printed quickly, so issues AND trades are in abundance; oh, and the paper they have been using lately doesn't stay MINT no matter what.
unless if your into that CGC grading crap... which is the biggest waste of time, money and latex gloves.
and gay.
and i jumped to the idea you collect them for some future purpose since you go out and buy 2 copies... correct me if i'm wrong.
shoe!!

I haven't read comics in years, but I used to be an avid reader of Spawn and Sin City. I used to be a big Image reader (Youngblood, Spawn, Brigade, etc.), but I also really enjoyed the Alien and Predator spinoffs, especially the Alien vs Predator comics, that Dark Horse made.
I got mad love for SpiderMan and X-Men too.

YO Tita tantana
AMEN
Comic books aren't worth as much as they used to because of the Trade Paper Backs. I mean the Ulitmate DareDevil Eletra comic books didn't get any vaule because Marvel rushed getting those issues into TPB because of the movie.
I have between 300 and 400 comic books. (waste of time to count them all and last time I did it was like 330 or so)
Nothing really vauleable in my collection.
My signed Ultimate Spider-man 1 is worth 70. My early Ultimate Spider-man issues are worth a little bit but i have no plans on trading them or selling them
unless it's gunna buy me like a car, get me out of debt,
Then I will sell but i don't see that happening.

I was reading X-Force today, and I almost forgot how amazing everyone's favorite artist, Rob Liefeld, was. His complete disreguard for anatomy, cliche characters, and convoluted plots are still an inspiration to us all.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA (cont.)
and he got a greenlight to do youngblood again for a "10th anniversery"... it hasn't even been in print for 10 years and they have an anniversery?!?!... peww
K, Yeah, i dont really have a huge collection (already selling more than half on ebay too). the only 'collections' i'm keeping are my daredevils (knights), codename: knockouts, harleyquinns, elektras (assassin mini and knights), catwomans (the relaunch), Punishers (ennis and on), Battle of the Planets, Powers, and some indies here and there. i think i'm down to about 100 or so left to sell.
The heap of my "collection" is trades now, so yeah, why bother with singles? There's virtually nothing (save some Indies) out there that won't eventually come out in a trade.
besides, i think my comic shop hates me. they're all a bunch of russian commies, forcing me to buy The Red Star books all the time. and sticking crap like "10th Muse #5 with Savage Dragon" and Top Cow 1/2s into my bin.
So no more shops. just loiter at borders :)
here (http://www.crawlspace.com/boards/showthread.php?threadid=9935&highlight=should+liefeld) it's still fun to see 'them' squirm at the image that once was on liefeld's spinnerrack.com (a dead link now, i wonder why. HMMMMMMMM).
i can't believe they're making his "Shrink!" comic into a movie... starring J.Lo. yes. aye ya yaye

I read a Liefeld interview from 2002, and he's still talking about some supposed project that he's gonna do with "Will Smith" from like 96.
I'll probably pickup the single issues of Punisher: Born, hopefully its not crap like Wolverine: Origin. CRAP.
I thought the Red Star was good, but I hate Savage Dragon. I've enjoyed Ennis' run on Punisher, although some issues have been pretty "out there."

glad someone's honest!
but i'm not going to say anything until i read it... most likely this weekend. I'm not too hot on Paul Jenkins these days... not since after Inhumans.
anyway, here's my best rendition of Liefeld's "Shrink!":
