Just three hours away in what has to be the most anticipated draft lottery in NBA history. It's apparent I hate the lakers, but I am a big clipper fan...namely because I go to their games because its cheaper, and not supporting the laker organization. I hope that the clipps get the # 1 pick, I also wouldnt mind NY getting Labron...the NBA with a weak knicks isnt the NBA I know
predictions anyone?
ima go with Denver for #1...as nothing more then a guess

Lebrons coming to Cleveland GO Cavaliers

They'll still suck and he'll be gone after his first contract, what is it three years?
By the way, what a shock, he went to his local team. It was there or the Knicks, but the NBA didn't want it to seem COMPLETELY fixed.
This is almost as sad as people debating whether or not Annika Sorestam would make the cut at the Colonial. Please, who really believes the sponsors and networks DON"T want her there?

I could give a fuck less. I just think it is funny that people had any doubts as to where he would end up. Cleveland is atrocious and needs something to get asses into the seats and now, what a shock, they got just that.
By the way, who/what exactly would my hometown team be? Since you are such an expert.

Very simple dumbass. I don't no where you live or where your from. So I don't no nor do I give a damn what city your from.
I am just glad that the Cavaliers have someone to build a team around. Not likely, but I can hope can;'t I.
He probably wil leave after his contract expires but who noes.

Speaking of dumbasses, I needed two translators just to figure out what the fuck you just tried to write.
If you don't care/ know, why did you bring it up? FYI, I live in Los Angeles.
As far as "my team" goes, I don't have one. I don't like basketball enough to care.

Cleveland is going to be a very good team in a couple years. Not only are they getting Lebron, but they're also close to signing Van Gundy as coach. They are looking to package Zydrunas Ilglauskas and Ricky Davis, which can get them something very good. Boozer can take over the starting center spot (very young guy too). Although Wagner isn't a true point guard, I think he and James in the backcourt is a good young tandem (James can handle the point too). Also Darius Miles is still around and could be a star. Even though they won't make the playoffs this year, all this team needs is an imposing power forward and some time to develop and they'll be a good team.

its easy to say anyone will be good in a few years, it really is
but the reality is, they either will be or not
everyone said the clipps would be in the playoffs 2 years ago, then this year was suppose to be it...etc
i say the warriors and bulls are on pace to being rebuilt real well too
who knows

The Clippers will never do anything in the league until Sterling sells the team off and has nothing to do with basketball.... ever.

You're right, it is rue you can say a team will be good in a few years. in some cases they do get beterand in others they get worse. The Cavs were onje of the better teams in the east 10-15 years ago and ever since Jordan kicked their asses in the playoffs they have gotten progressivly worse ever since. but with the # 1 pick that gives them someone to build a team around. With Lebron and Wagner in the backcourt. Davis, boozer, & Z up front this lineup has potential they need to build their bench a littel better before thy can become a playoff team.

Lebron will put poeple in the seats which the caves need but do not be shock if there dont take him #1. I and i think other will say this but Carmelo Anthony is a better player then Lebron. yeah Leborn did alot of shit in H.S. shit so did i. i made all city, Team MVP, Avg. 15points 8 reb. a game at 6-2 thats good :) always Lebron will be good but i think the cavs should get Carmelo. thats what i think.

Altough right now Carmelo is the better player, it doesn't matter because the hype on James is way too high to pass up. From reading scouting reports people who have seen them say that in 10 years Carmelo will be one of the top 10 players in the NBA..... but James will be THE best player in the NBA. Plus, the Cavs have already started to print the James jerseys and owner Gund had a #23 Cavs James jersey on the night of the lottery. James is going to be a a Cav, Darko is a Piston, Nuggets will get Melo and the Raptors will get Bosh. After that it's up in the air and will be a weak draft after the top 4 picks.

It was in ESPN mag a couple months ago. I think it was within the next 10 years. Not literally in 2013.
BTW things aren't looking good for your boys in Indiana:
During exit interviews with the Pacers, Jermaine O’Neal made it abundantly clear that the Pacers need to make some radical improvements or he’d seek life elsewhere. It wasn’t a threat really, just being honest. Part of JO’s demands are an improved playmaker, meaning Jamal Tinsley may be out as the starter, if not off the team entirely. O’Neal thinks there is too much duplication on the roster and names like Ron Mercer and Jonathan Bender have been mentioned in trade talks so far this offseason, although Pacers sources say nothing of substance has been mentioned by them. It does seem that O’Neal may take a wait and see approach before committing, and it also seems like the Pacers may be pressured into changes at draft time.
All that, and the fact that Isiah Thomas is on the hot seat once again (first round loss again) and may be gone, but O'neal has warned management that if they fire Thomas he would not play for another coach.
Spurs have the money and expect them to go after O'neal come July.

I agree with JO,i hope he wont go tho
secondly two of the 3 years Thomas was booted out of the first round...the pacers were the EIGHT seed
this year they have no excuse tho, i admit that much
they DO need a good pg, I really hope they get someone and Millers, JO, and Artest stay

If I were Donnie Walsh:
First thing is re-sign O'neal and also Brad Miller, oh and Thomas too (no need to get your franchise player pissed). Pacers would have fantastic cap room, but Reggie Miller is a factor in that. Do you cut him loose and go after a big named player on the market or do you re-sign your icon player? IMO do what's best for the team and that's to let Miller have a paycut from his 12 mil he made last year and use the money for someone else. Use the money to sign Andre Miller and entice him to come. I know he's restircted free agent and the Clippers won't sign him to a max, but I doubt they would just let him go free, so... you can get rid of dead weight like Foster, Tinsley and Bender by executing a sign and trade deal, the contracts match up if Miller is given a max deal. Throw in a second round pick and I think the Clippers would make the deal (especially since those are young players and 2/3 of their contracts end next year and we all know how Sterling operates). Now I know how great Artest is and all, but he is a distraction to the team and it's chemistry. I'd trade him away now while his value is high. There are many teams hungry for a defensive madman like him and you could get something good in return. Plus Harrington is at the SF and is good enough to carry the starting responsibilities. Just some things I'd do, because the Pacers need some changes to stay competitive... especially now that the Pistons have upgraded with the draft, Celtics making changes and the Nets continue to improve.

Reggie is way past his prime, he wont make a lot of money no matter where he goes, he could resign with the Pacers.
The team just needs to mature, no matter who they have. I personally wanna see Reggie, Brad, Ron, and Jermaine all in the starting lineup next year, hopefully they can sign someone decent to fill the PG position./

Ron's a cancer to the team until he starts to smarten up. He's so crazy he doesn't even think he's crazy. He needs to do what Kenyon Martin did last year ... mature and stop flagrant fouling everyone... look what has happened to Martin's career and more importantly his team - they're playing for the title. If Artest does then keep him. As far as PG's go: Andre Miller, Gary Payton and Gilbert Arenas can all be had. Pacers need to make some improvements because I want to see the East as dominant as it used to be.

Well, personally I think Arest is the most consistent player on the pacers...perhaps the best. He just isnt a natural scorer, but he makes up for it in every other way. He is way too into the game...thats about it.

That's the last thing the Lakers need, a third scorer. They need some muscle up front. They are very weak at power forward. Juwan Howard or PJ Brown are the top candidates. Payton is hinting at going to New Jersey anyways. He wants to play with his buddy Kidd and win a title. He'll sign for ther mid-level exception or any other team, because no other title contender has room under the cap.

Juan Howard may just be the most OVERRATED player in the history of the NBA.

Jermain O'Neal might be traded for Nick Van Exel
Payton would be a GREAT add for the lakers
Juwan Howard is not the most oevrrated player in NBAH history...he WAS great, he was signed to a huge contract and the last 3-4 years he has not lived up to it at all. Juwan howard gets zero publicty, hence he isnt overrated
you want to talk overrated? Let's go with anyone on the lakers not named Shaq
the les Shaq touches the ball, the more likely they are to lose exe.: 2003 playoffs

I think it's been well established that the Lakers rely on Kobe and Shaq to bring them wins. However, you can't deny that the Lakers are a team full of roleplayers. I mean, shit, it's not as though they're a shitty team. Shitty teams don't win 3 rings in a row.
For the Lakers, the power forward issue needs to be pushed. I'd like to pick up PJ Brown. I just hope the Lakers don't pick up Malone. Malone just doesn't go right in a Laker uniform.

Kobe= great player...yes
Shaq= owns Kobe...yes
1st ring- Shaq won All Star MVp, reg season mvp, finals mvp. Best season of his life. Shaq did everything. Kobe was the second best player on the team, but still...it was Shaq's team. However Lakers won the title because the Blazers choked worse then any team ever...end of
2nd ring- No competition, Lakers blow by everyone. This was the one year the lakers deserved to be champions IMO...and the only one
3rd ring- Kobe was a much bigger factor in the team this year, MUCH more so then in the two previous...look at the numbers. This was the biggest screwjob ever. If the rules were the same in this year like they were this year...the lakers would not have won it all. Samaki hit a buzzer(3 pter) beater to close the half. It was AFTER the buzzer, this year they woulda reviewed it and it WOULD NOT HAVE COUNTED...the basket was late. This was the game the lakers mounted a fourth quarter comeback to BARELY beat the Kings at the last second via Hory. Had the Lakers been down three extra points like they should have...I say their is about a 90% chance they woulda lost the game. To top it off, Peja( a two time all star) did not play until he played some of game 7. That entire series the refs were for the lakers, they got everything handed to them.
the year after- Kobe does more then shaq for the first year, and they get knocked out in round 2...go figure

Howard never lived up to the monster contract he signed. But if and when he signs at the midlevel exception he would be a STEAL. Howard still gets the job done. Name any power forward for that value that have these type of games: 45% sooting, 80% free throws, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 18 points per game. He would be great for the Lakers... although PJ Brown would be better (more sound on defense). Either way, Payton wouldn't fit in Jackson's triangle offense. He's never had a good point guard in either of his championship teams. What they need is a 4.
Malone is probably going to Dallas.
Van Exel for O'neal??? That must be a joke.

PJ Brown is way better the howard. he plays better D b/c he could go one on one with big guys unlike howard. PJ has a jump shot from around the key which will also help shaq and the east of the lakers. GP is fit good hes a PG that could socre when kobe is off plus he is also a good passer and good on D.
