I wrote the same thing to xpwlive's message board...
No one's mentioned this anywhere, as far as I know, but in a recent WON (I forget which), Dave Meltzer reported that Shane Douglas would be joining XPW as wrestler and booker once his Time Warner contract expires in April. I believe he'll be done with them and in XPW by their next show. Meltzer said Douglas would probably tone down the product somewhat.
What do people think of this? Douglas as a wrestler is washed up but he'd still rank as one of the better in XPW. As a thinker, he's always put a lot of emphasis on logic, which I think is a good thing. Whenever he commentated in ECW, he always explained the "why" in angles and strategies by wrestlers. I think if he brings logic to XPW's booking, no matter how bland his ideas are, would be better than Black and Kleinrock's current mess writing.
