IMO a good show that turned GREAT simply because of the main event...

Not shown
Jake O Brien def Josh Shockman by unanimous decision
Antoni Hardonk def Sherman Pendergarst by low kick in the first (shown on tv)
Nick Diaz def Gleison Tibau by TKO (strikes) in the second (a crime they didnt show this match and instead showed the above match)

1. Joe Stevenson beat Dokonjkobosuke Mishima by guillotine choke in the first round
Lame LAME LAME match.....Mishima basically gave Stevenson the win by repeatidly putting his head out there forthe damn guillotine choke.

2. Brandon VEra def Frank Mir by TKO in the first round
Great match for Vera who looked like a champ. He knocked Mir around with some punches and then took him out with a knee to the face ala Anderson Silva and then got the TKO stops when he reigned punches down on Mir. I am very much so looking forward to Vera kicking the crap out of Sylvia.

3. Andrew McFedries def Alessio Sakara by submission (verbal) strikes in the first
Weird match...where u are expecting a submission match or at least a ground game both guys come out swining like crazy. Some great strikes from both side with from Sakara knocking the mouth guard right out of McFedries mouth, but Sakara gassed and in an odd moment it looked like he either gave up or just plopped down expecting McFedries to fall into his ground game. Well McFedries did do that and started pounding away at Sakara for the win.

4. James Irvin def Hector Ramirez by TKO (strikes) in the second round
Irvin got in a lucky punch and just pounded Ramizrez...eh

5. In of cours the BORINGEST match of the night Syvlia held onot his title by decisioning Monson
Blah match, post fight Sylvia called out Vera but Couture was doing in the interviews (Rogan is on his comedy tour) and wouldnt let ANYONE talk on the mic so he walked away and when VEra came down there was no mic for him to tear up Sylvia with.

6. Main EVent- GSP def Hughes by TKO to BECOME THE NEW WW CHAMP!!!!!
GSP owned Hughes. I love how EVERYONE thinks Hughes became this great striker but ignores the fact BJ out punched him and now Hughes did the same damn thing. The match should have ended in the first but Hughes was playing chickenshit and claimed GSP kicked him twice in the nuts so time was wasted. This came back to bite GSP as he knocked down Hughes but time ran out before he could GnP him. But in the second GSP caught Hughes with a good kick to the neck and then GnP him for the win.

Post fight GSP thanked evertyone and offered Hughes a rematch. Hughes just looked like a stunned loser. And all is right with the world. That match made this show the BEST IN THE WORLD....or at least until Tito beats Liddell!!!

Dammit! Had to work until midnight tonight so I couldn't see it. I'll try and download the show if I can, otherwise I'll check youtube for the main event.

Hughes never had any standup. I hope he goes back to shoveling hay on his farm.

I think Vera will KO Sylvia in the 1st round.

St. Pierre looks unbeatable. The WW division in UFC is probably the best division in all MMA.

IMHO i think both PRIDE and UFC lightweight divisons are much more stacked...but after them hands down would be the WW division in UFC..everything else is a distant third.

I'd like some elaboration on how exactly the UFC LW division is more stacked than its WW division. All the elite LWs other than Sherk are in Pride or K-1, where as UFC has virtually every single elite WW in the world except for maybe Shinya Aoki, although he seems to be dropping down to LW anyways.

Ok let see.... I dont like him but Sherk is a mini Hughes (he even took Hughes to a decision) Spencer Fisher is a strong fighter (though he hasnt been given tough competiton yet)...I dont like Joe Stevenson but wins over Yves Edwards and Mishima prove he has some legit skills. Even though Florian lost toSherk he is still a great fighter. Mark Hominick is a great young talent with also a win over Yves Edwards. Hermes Franca is super tough, Tyson Griffin will be the FUTURE king of the LW divison both in UFC and PRIDE (no joke). Roger Huerta, Joe Lauzon and Clayton Guida are all great fighters who have no limit to them.

THE WW divison is great Im not going to lie but after u have Hughes, GSP and Sanchez...I dont see much left. Karo is strong BUT I dont see him getting past either of the top three. BJ Penn could be p4p the best fighter in 4 weight classes if he would jsut jump onto a fuckin treadmill. I luv Diaz but I dont think he can beat some of te PRIDE figthers. Fitch is ok, Burkman isnt very good and neither is Fickett or Alves... then who else? Maybe the top three WW are better than the top three LW but overall the LW divison is more stacked IMO.

Damn! Deleted already. I thought DM wasn't as popular as Youtube, a lot of copywritten vids last a lot longer there. :(
