Almost a month after having to pull out of the LHW GP, "the Gracie Hunter" Kazushi Sakuraba announced that he will be fighting again against the winner of the LHW GP, Yoshihiro Akiyama. Saku had to pull out of the GP due to complications from numerous injuries to his neck but his doctors have cleared him to fight on NYE. Whether or not Akiyama's LHW title will be on the line is unknown yet.
Also scheduled to appear are Kid Yamamoto (which may not mean fight because he is training for the Olympics), Genki Sudo, Caol Uno, MUSASHI, Hideo Tokoro, Akebono, Katsuhiko Nagata and Ken Kaneko.
