UFC just revealed the full card for their latest free Spike Tv show UFN 7: The Final Chapter which will take place from the new Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida. The show of course will be highlighted by the FINAL match between bitter rivals Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock (finally). Remmeber folks after this match Shamrock announced that he will retire (finally!). As like most UFNs this card will showcase a all TUF alumni show.
Main Event- Ken Shamrock Vs Tito Ortiz
Kendall Grove (MW TUF 3 winner) vs Chris "the Exorcist" Price (7-0, UFC debut) made his home in the Legends of Fighting promotion in Indiana where he dominated.
Ed Herman (MW TUF 3 runner up) Vs Jason "the Athlete" MacDonald (16-7, UFC debut). Funny that the winner and runner up of last years TUF MW are returning on the same card but not against each other (especially after that awesome fight they had). Anyway MacDonald ha spretty much fought everywhere in the US except in the big times. His losses are like a whos who of UFC newbies/nobodies. He's lost to Patrick Cote, Kalib Starnes, Shonie Carter, marvin Eastman. But he does have a few wins ove Shannon Ritch and Joe Doerkson as well as 14 of his 16 wins come from submission. He is also coming off of a 4 win streak.
Matt Hammil (1-0) Vs Seth Petruzelli (5-2)- Both fighters are TUF alumni. Matt Hammill is of course everyone's favorite deaf fighter who got knocked out of the TUF competition even though he won due to a concussion but he bounce dback by slaughtering fellow TUF alumni Jesse Forbes. Seth was a particpant of TUF2 and made it to the semis of the heavyweight diviison before losing to runner up Brad Imes. Now it seems Seth is dropping down in weight to fight at LHW, it should be noted he hasnt fought since the TUF.
Luke Cummo (4-4) Vs Ross "the Gladiator" Pointon (4-7)- Luke Cummo was the dark horse of TUF2 and made it to the finals before losing to Joe Stevenson. Sinc ehtne he has beaten TUF3 alum Jason Von Flue and lost a decision to Johnathan Goulet. Ross "the Gladiator" Pointon was a particpant of TUF3 where he would lose TWICE (one of them froma devestating flying knee from eventual winner Mike Bisping). His last fight he lost to Rory Singer at the TUF 3 finale.
Thiago Alves (8-3) Vs John Alessio(17-8)- Thiago is a future star in the making for the Welterweight diviison who was on a 2 fight streak before losing in his last fight to Jon Fitch. While John "the Natural" Alessio had that odd match with Diego Sanchez where he LITERALLY carried Diego on his back for most of the third round before losing by deicison (though he did look impressive IF not aggressive against the undefeated Sanchez).
Josh "Bring the Pain" Haynes (7-6) Vs Rory "VErsion 2.5" Singer (9-5)- Ok first off these nicknames are out of hand. Haynes is the runner up of TUF 3 LHW division where he lost to Bisping he is now shrinking down to MW. Singer lost to runner up ED Herman on the same TUF season but bounced back with a win over Ross Pointion on the TUF season finale.
Kurt Pellegrino(8-2) Vs Wander BRaga (10-0)- Pellegrino mad ehis UFC debut at UFC 61 where he suffered only his second lost via chokeout to Drew Fickett. He recently bunced back with a win over Jesse Chilton in the AFC. Pellegrino is now shrinking down to the lightweight divison. Braga is another young star getting alot of hype and will add a lot to the exciting lightweight dvision. He is undefeated with most of his wins coming from submission. He is an expert at BJJ.
