In a post event interview, Dana White announced that Silva is contratced to the UFC for a total; of three fights....AND in a huge shocker the fight with Liddell WILL BE for the UF Lightheavyweight title. Dana is sure as hell confidant in Liddell...but now the question remains IF Silva wins it will he be foreced to defend it again in UFC or can he defend it in the PRIDE ring?

Silva better start training now with an eye-patch on, otherwise he'll be up shit creek once he experiences the EYE-POKE-O-DOOM!!!!

I see The Iceman have relatively little problem with the Brazilian.
Infact, I think it's going to be a fairly early stoppage.

Wait which Brazilian? Because to be honest Liddell is gouing to have a tough time with Babalu...and I HIGHLY doubt, unless he does get to poke Silva in the eyes a billion times, he will walk away from Silva withthe belt. Silva is going to show the difference in ability between the top PRIDE fighters and the top UFC fighters.

Liddell will have big problems I think with Babalu. He is way better than he was when he fought Chuck the first time and he won't get hit with a fluke high kick this time. I think him along with anyone else has to stop Chuck though as he gets many gift decisions like Bustamante and Suloev.

I agree if anything the officaiting in UFC is as bad as any other MMA org (K-1 and Pride included)...there is obvious favorites that Dana wants to win if it goes to a close decision (the Mir fight is a great example of a recent one). So yea Babalu definitly has to KO Dana's golden boy or he wont get the title...but I dont think thats going to happen to be honest...plus I want to see Lidell get murdered by Silva...so GO LIDDELL!!!

It'll be an interesting fight. I think Liddell would need to be the favorite. Babalu's strength is on the ground but his take downs aren't considered world class. It's difficult to imagine a scenario where he's able to take down Liddell. Liddell is also one of the most patient fighters around, with pretty accurate counter punching and incredible strength. Liddell can back up an entire fight and only throw counter punches and still beat an opponent, as evidence by his KOs on Vernon White, Jeremy Horn, and Randy Couture. I think Liddell has trouble against someone with accurate boxing skills and isn't afraid to keep pushing the action. That's how Couture (1st time) and Bustamante gave him fits. Alistair Overeem was also out striking Liddell in their fight but Alistair is Alistair and he's an idiot with no cardio. I predict a 4th or 5th round TKO by Liddell.

I'd be pretty surprised if Babalu beat Lidell, and judging by this whole thing, so would Dana White.

That's usually the kiss of death for any UFC fighter.

I don't think Babalu can KO Chuck, but I think he has a pretty good chance of submitting Liddell. I'm rooting for Babalu because of this bullshit Liddell Vs. Silva match announced, as if it's a given Liddell will plow through Babalu.

I'd like to see that, but it doesn't have to be for a title to be interesting. Babalu Vs. Silva for the title intrigues me as well.
