As mentioned earlier K-1's HERO's branch is going to have a lightheavyweight GP to go along with their already started Middleweight GP. With the acquisition of former "PRIDE Golden boy" Kazushi Sakuraba, K-1 set up this tourny in hopes to spotlight on the aging veteran. With the names announced it seems like it will be a pretty good tourny.

K-1 Producer Sadaharu announced yet again that talks with BJ are still pending and hopes once he's signed he will face Sakuraba in the first round. IMO BJ shouldnt be hard to grab considering now it seems that UFC and K-1 are working somewhat together (Gracie was on loan to UFC from K-1 for the Hughes/Gracie fight).
The Lightheavyweight GP will start August 5th along with the second round of the middleweight GP.
