Over the weekend K-1 held their Las Vegas GP where the winner gets a slot into the WGP near the end of the year in Japan. Despite the big news that Chalid Die Faust wion the event DESPITE being eliminated in the semis after KTFO of Big Daddy Gary Goodridge who's last two fights that same night only lasted a total of 76 secs, bigger news was the apperance of former WWE Champion and Current IWGP Champion Brock Lesnar at the show. During intermission Brock got on the mic thanked the fans for showing their support to K-1, thanked K-1 for inviting him and then started bouncing around the ring before ending his spiel with "I like the feel of this ring, I might make some use of it in the future". Brock has started making waves by stating his intrest in entering the MMA field, could this be his confirmation of entinerng into K-1's Hero branch? Over the past few years K-1 and NJPW have had an albeit awkward working relationship (lets not forget Bob Sapp's horrible run as IWGP champion two years back and the infamous Shinsuke/Ignashov fights) but this would definitly be huge news for both companies and both the mMA and wrestling communtiies.

Fo anyone who cares, here are the K-1 results in Vegas

Tournament
Goodridge KO Kengo Watanabe in 40 sec
Scotty Lighty beat Dewey Cooper via unanimous dec
Carter Williams beat Fujimoto via unanimous dec
Chalid Arrab KO Sean O Haire in 23 sec (yes its O Haire
from WCW)
Goodrdige TKO Scotty Lighty in 36 sec
Carter Williams beat Chalid Arrab by split decision
(Williams was injured during the fight and apprantly the reserve fighter was also injured so Chalid advanced to the finals)
FINALS: Chalid KO Goodridge in the third round after being knocked down twice by Goodridge.

WGP 2005 winner Semmy Schilt beat MUSASHI by unanimous dec

This actually sounded like a decent show. All of Arrab's fights were supposed to be exciting. Amazingly enough, the Choi-Terkay fight was allegedly an exciting slugfest.

K-1, especially K-1 Vegas, always suck, so I'm skeptical to believe such hype.
