The following was posted by WArmonger on the WAR boards.
From the Wrestling Observer - www.wrestlingobserver.com
Pro Wrestling WAR from last night in La Habra, CA: Aaron Aguilera NC Charles Mercury, Markus Riot & Young Bucks b Human Tornado & Biggs & Slymm, Low Ki b Alex Koslov in a **** match, Jack Evans b Cholo, Sonny Samson b Diablo, Davey Richards b Ryan Drago (both guys got a standing ovation after a very good match), Teddy Hart & Jack Evans DCOR Aguilera & Keiji Sakoda. Hart did a moonsault off the rim of a basketball hoop. Hart claimed he messed up his knee and started yelling at the promotion for costing him his shot at WWE next month. As usual, he appeared to be completely out of his mind.
Nice of Meltzer to call the Koslov/Ki match a **** match. Great props for the Richards/Drago match, as well. Both matches got standing ovations.
We now have two DVDs ready for release this week - the 11.12.04 debut show and the 01.15.06 Hart/Aguilera show. Keep checking back for details, as the site should be revised and updated this week, along with all of the new show information and ordering info.

These matches look to be a good start. Is Low Ki, Jack, or Teddy going to be at the show as well? I am hoping there will be some more high profile matches coming off the buzz from the last show.

As far as DVDs go- and it might sound like a stupid idea- I think they've lagged too far behind on releases to get people to buy individual shows. Maybe to save production costs on DVDs they should maybe do a "Best of WAR" series -"WAR's best matches," "The Best of Jack Evans in WAR" etc.

How about the Gauntlet show?

That's a great idea. I can't say that I'm super-motivated to pick up shows that are over a year old, especially since WAR's had so many cancellations and booking issues that their storylines are usually abandoned quickly. But I would DEFINITELY buy a disc or two of the stuff that worked the best. That'd easily be their best bet at selling some DVDs, and could even get them some hype on Death Valley Driver on other boards. COMPILE, WAR! COMPILE!

I'd buy a Best Of War DVD if it had the Kozina/Bosh vs. B-Boy/Sky classic from the third War show.

How about the Gauntlet show?
I couldn't believe Beth became the new team captain, she sure pulled an upset on Ruthie, IMO.

No Doubt Tom, my wife was all like Beth is going home now and then Ruthie was cut. It was traggic and funny at the same time.

Umm, I don't know about that. Ask on the WAR boards cause they'll be of better help.

Since its inception, Pro Wrestling WAR has done its best to provide the wrestling fans of Southern California a chance to check out some of the best wrestlers from around the world. Not only was WAR the first promotion to bring in Austin Aries, Jack Evans, and Davey Richards, but WAR has also seen a variety of other wrestlers from around the planet come and go - ‘Mister Wrestling’ Kevin Steen, El Generico, Roderick Strong, New Jack, Tony Kozina, Trent Acid, and Ricky Reyes are some of the names who have traveled to Southern California to do battle inside a WAR ring.
With WAR regulars - Low Ki and Davey Richards - scheduled to be out of town for the month of February, as well as the confusion over the current status of Jack Evans in WAR due to his attack on WAR Owner, Anthony Maris, at the 01.15.06 show, we here at Pro Wrestling WAR will try something different on 02.19.06 and give the local workers a chance to shine on their own, sans fly-in talent.
With one exception.
On 02.19.06, the most controversial man in professional wrestling - TEDDY HART - will return to Pro Wrestling WAR with none other than the Son of the late British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith - HARRY SMITH - by his side. The friendship between Hart and Smith is well-known and with the status of Jack Evans (pardon the pun) up-in-the-air, the duo of Hart and Smith are looking for one thing and one thing only...revenge.
Hart has issued the challenge to Aguilera and a partner of his choosing to face he and Smith in a non-sanctioned Tag Team WARfare match on 02.19.06.
Should he accept the challenge, the question then becomes who will Aguilera pick as his tag team partner. KEIJI SAKODA - Aguilera's partner on 01.15.06 - suffered a shoulder injury that has since rendered him unable to fulfill his other local bookings. It's also no secret that Aguilera isn't the most popular wrestler in the WAR locker room. His victory over the former Champion on 12.18.05 - Austin Aries - was deemed by many backstage as a fluke; an unfair shot given to a wrestler who came into Pro Wrestling WAR without having to work his way up the WAR rankings.
And speaking of shots, how will this affect the current Number One Contender - CHARLES MERCURY? Mercury, who had his Championship shot taken away from him after Hart interfered in his match on 01.15.06, looked at his originally-scheduled 02.19.06 Rematch as his second chance to achieve that which has alluded him since WAR's beginnings - the Pro Wrestling WAR Championship.
We will have much more on this story as it breaks, including comments from not only Hart, but Aguilera, as well. In addition, we will have more news on the status of Jack Evans as we learn it.
Also scheduled for 02.19.06 -
ALEX KOSLOV vs. RYAN DRAGO
Two Superstars who have made names for themselves in Pro Wrestling WAR will collide for the first time on 02.19.06. Interestingly, while both competitors have yet to score big victories in WAR, both have made undeniably positive impressions with the fans through their sheer heart and determination. Koslov has faced some of the most competitive wrestlers in WAR, from Charles Mercury to Kevin Steen to his impressive 01.15.06 showing against Low Ki. Drago, after being away from the business for over a year recovering from two torn ACLs, received a standing ovation after his 01.15.06 match against Davey Richards.
On 02.19.06, both competitors look to end their losing streaks and move up the Pro Wrestling WAR ladder.
BIGGIE BIGGZ vs. BABI SLYMM
Special Guest Referee: the Human Tornado
On 01.15.06, the team of Biggie Biggz, Babi Slymm, and the Human Tornado seemed to be a lock to defeat the team of the Young Bucks (Mister Instant Replay and Slick Nick) and Markus Riot. Not only did the team of Slymm, Biggz, and Tornado have a distinct height and weight advantage, but they were by far the more experienced team, as well. Add to that the fact that the Human Tornado even went so far as to completely knock out Young Buck member, Slick Nick, with a vicious clothesline and the victory seemed to be a given. However, a series of miscommunications between teammates - notably Biggz and Slymm - provided the perfect distraction that enabled the team of High Risk youngsters to upset the seasoned trio. After the match, Biggz and Slymm almost came to blows, but cooler heads eventually prevailed and the two left without incident, choosing to settle their differences one-on-one on 02.19.06.
To make matters more ... interesting, we’ve recently been informed that none other than the Human Tornado will serve as the Special Guest Referee for the match. WAR fans recall that the last time the Human Tornado stepped into the ring as a Referee was during the 02.13.05 Scott Lost/El Generico match, which saw Tornado not only award the match fairly to Lost, but then turn around and superkick him afterwards, as well. With two huge combustible wrestlers like Slymm and Biggz in the ring on 02.19.06, as well as the x-factor that can be the Human Tornado serving as Referee, there’s no telling how this will all come to a head.
Pro Wrestling WAR is also proud to announce that production on our DVDs is now in full-swing, with our two releases currently as follows -
11.12.04 - Our debut show from Santa Ana, California. Matches include Super Dragon vs. Jack Evans, Austin Aries vs. Scott Lost, the entire brawl between SupaBad and the Human Tornado that wouldn’t end, and much, much more!
01.15.06 - The last show from La Habra Heights, California. Matches include Davey Richards vs. Ryan Drago, Alex Koslov vs. Low Ki, and the insanity - in its entirety - that was Teddy Hart & Jack Evans vs. Aaron Aguilera & Keiji Sakoda!
Each DVD is now available at www.prowrestlingwar.com or can be purchased live at any Pro Wrestling WAR event.
Pro Wrestling WAR presents 02.19.06 at the Gym at the Park in La Habra Heights, California. The Gym at the Park is located at 1885 North Hacienda Road; La Habra Heights, CA; 90631. Ha! You were all worked!
Anyways, I missed out on the last show, there's no way I'm gonna miss out on this one. I've always wanted to see Harry Smith in action.
