With the year 2008 nearly half over, that means that the late summer classic, the 2008 Battle of Los Angeles, is little more than two months away. Each year, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla scours the globe in order to bring our fans the best and brightest of the world of professional wrestling together in the same ring for three days, and this year is no exception. The 2008 Battle of Los Angeles will take place during the last weekend of August, 2008, with the opening rounds of the tournament taking place on Friday, August 29 and Saturday, August 30 at the American Legion Hall in Reseda, California, and the final night of tournament, featuring the quarterfinal, semifinal, and final rounds of the tournament will take place on Sunday, August 31 at the Burbank Armory in Burbank, CA. While the three previous iterations of the Battle of Los Angeles have given fans a varied talent pool leading to incredible and unique matchups, we feel that the 2008 Battle of Los Angeles will top all others.

With that being said, we proudly present the first member of the field of competition in the 2008 Battle of Los Angeles.

1. "The Man That Gravity Forgot" PAC - A semifinalist in the 2007 Battle of Los Angeles, "The Man That Gravity Forgot" PAC used the tournament as a (figurative) springboard to success in one of the most demanding markets for professional wrestling in the world, Japan. Now PAC makes his long awaited return to Pro Wrestling Guerrilla to attempt to capture the trophy that slipped through his grasp in 2007. With more international experience under his belt, the high-flying Englishman should prove to be a daunting opponent for whoever he is matched up against, though with the 2008 field of entrants so varied, "The Man That Gravity Forgot" may have an unpleasant surprise waiting for him.

More participants in the 2008 Battle of Los Angeles will be announced in the coming weeks, along with ticketing information for all three nights of the tournament!

The 2008 Battle of Los Angeles takes place on Friday, August 29, 2008, and Saturday, August 30, 2008 at American Legion Post #309 in Reseda, CA, and Sunday, August 31, 2008 at the Burbank Armory, in Burbank, CA.
