In today’s Southern California pro-wrestling News & Notes we have updates on a former SoCal wrestler in the Mae Young Classic, FCW, AWS, Bar Wrestling, FIST, UEW, and more. Click for today’s update.

PWInsider.com is reporting that Danielle Kamela will be one of the participants in WWE’s women’s tournament, The Mae Young Classic. Danielle Kamela came out of Southern California’s Knokx Pro and signed with WWE in April 2016. Before beginning her wrestling training she was an on air personality for Fox Sports Arizona, an Arizona Cardinals, and member of the Phoenix Suns’ dance team. She also went to the Tough Enough tryout camp in 2015, but was eliminated on the second day.

Ray Lyn has been announced as the fourth entrant in Finest City Wrestling’s six-woman TLC match on July 22nd to crown the promotion’s first women’s champion. Previously announced were Thunder Rosa, Sage Sin, and Heather Monroe.

AWS announced that it will be running back to back shows in Anaheim on August 19th and 20th. The shows will be a part of another event, not run by AWS. The event information has not been released yet.

General admission for Bar Wrestling’s Fourth of July show sold out in less than 24 hours. There are limited VIP tickets left. VIP includes an exclusive design t-shirt from Pro Wrestling Tees and early entry to the venue.

I was told there will be a lucha libre show running at the Bakersfield Dome on Sunday August 6th. No further information has been released at this time.

FIST Combat will be running their monthly tapings for their TV show on the second Friday of every month at the Kensington Club in San Diego. The Kensington Club is a historic bar in San Diego that opened up shortly after prohibition ended in 1935 and has been in operation since.

UEW will be holding their annual Pledge Your Allegiance show on July 29th at VFW Post #10040 in Sun Valley. Announced for the show is Sean Black challenging Fern Owens for the UEW Heavyweight title.

Sabotage announced a return to Austin, Texas to take place on October 13th.

At Santino Brothers’ July 14th show Rocky Romero will challenge Tyler Bateman for the Santino Brothers championship. They will also be holding a four-man, one-night tournament to determine a number one contender for the Santino Brothers Championship. First round matches are Jake Atlas versus Famous B and Brody King versus Robby Phoenix.

The Ruby Raze versus Michelle Renee match that was set to take place at the ECW Arena in Philadelphia for Wildkat wrestling last weekend, which was mentioned in last week’s SoCal News & Notes, was changed to Ruby Raze and Riley Shepard versus Renee Michelle and Gabby Ortiz. Ruby Razed pinned Gabby Ortiz after hitting a slingshot suplex.

We will have live results from tomorrow night’s PWG show, Man on the Silver Mountain, starting around 8:00 pm.
