The San Fernando Valley’s only live Professional MMA show returns to the legendary Sportsmen’s Lodge Event Center in Studio City, California on Saturday, September 10, 2016.
The California Xtreme Fighting (CXF) banner will fly high once again as CXF: CROSSROADS marks the fourth CXF show at Sportsmen’s Lodge in the past six months.
As with previous sold out/standing-room-only affairs, CXF: CROSSROADS will feature some of the best local MMA talent from the most prestigious Southern California gyms.
CXF TITLE BOUTS
Dominic Clark (9-5) vs. Danny Navarro (11-6)
CXF Lightweight Champion Dominick Clark will defend the belt he won during last June’s CXF: “Proving Grounds” show where he annihilated Bellator and Combate Americas veteran Emilio Sanchez (11-7). The challenger will be the iron-willed Danny Navarro, who has won 12 of his last 14 bouts including perhaps the biggest win of his career over Brian Cobb (19-8) earlier this month.
Chris Culley (15-8) vs Dmitry Gerasimov (5-4)
The CXF Featherweight Championship will be up for grabs between two dynamic strikers. Lights Out Promotions fans are no strangers to Gerasimov as 8 of 9 of his pro bouts have been on a Lights Out Promotions affiliated show., Both Gerasimov and Cully are riding two fight win streaks into a title fight that should end up being an exciting fire fight.
CXF “CROSSROADS” will also feature a Bantamweight Title Eliminator bout between former UFC veteran Jared Papazian (19-12-1) and upstart Keith Carson (3-2). With the winner earning a shot at the CXF title, both are primed and ready for their best performance.
