Jeff Jarret’s 3rd effort into producing professional wrestling GFW returns to the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas Nevada to present another television taping on August the 21st. Congrats to Candace LeRae on being apart of the announced talent appearing which also includes; along side the Killer Elite Squad (Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Lance Archer), The Bullet Club (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson), Shelton Benjamin, and TNA’s Eric Young. Some of the talent from the first set of tapings posted photos of the huge crowd. However, anyone who had a chance to see the NWA Pro Wrestling: Fiesta Lucha or NWA Pro Wrestling: Copa de Lucha can see that the folks behind Championship Wrestling from Hollywood did this same feat back in 2006.  I’m really hopeful that the GFW can get a television deal, but when a known commodity like TNA had issues finding a network and the issues rumored about Lucha Underground unable to find financing for their popular brand, it makes it hard to believe that GFW will find a traditional television home.  But maybe that’s exactly what they need, a non-traditional television home.

SoCal Pro
I am looking forward to SoCal Pro’s Live event in Escondido tomorrow. It’s been nearly two years since my last SoCal Pro Show and the roster looks very different. And in Escondido it’s a tad more intimate than the Oceanside Boy’s and Girl’s Club. No matches have been released yet, but I’m excited to see the Rebel Renegades in action. But what I’m really excited about is handing out the 2014 Rookie of the Year award to Mike Camden and the SoCal Pro School of Wrestling. It’s fitting that the award will be handed out where the award was earned.

ProWrestlingLoot
August 4th is the cut off date for those who wish to subscribe to this one of a kind gift box with the professional wrestling fan at mind. Last month’s crate came complete with; a Gary Yap Original Print of CM Punk Print and a WWE Ice Cream Bar, A Wrestlemania Cozi, a Simpson’s Bret Hart figure, a SoCal Pro DVD and a FIP DVD. This month’s theme is “INDY.” For $17.99 it really is a bargain. I remember seeing the Bret Hart figures going for like $10 alone. And those DVDs usually go for about $10 too.
