This Chaos Column is a recap of Empire Wrestling Federation’s show at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Covina, June 7th 2013. Details on what happened at this month’s Covina show.
Viking Warrior” Chet Irving gave a solid showing, but fell to Sugar Sweet’s finisher. The EWF American Champion then rolled it into his “Sweet Spot” segment, where he brought in his guest, Hudson Envy. When asked what’s next for Envy, Hudson said she would go for a title shot, then shoved the mic right at Sugar Sweet. Hhmm, could she be setting her sights on the American title?
Mondo Vega had his “L.A. Kings” trunks on, while Vintage Dragon & Terra Calaway wore what was essentially “Chicago Blackhawks” black & red. Mondo seemed to have the upper hand late, but then he tried to get his hands on Terra, causing the referee to be distracted, and that allowed VD to kick Mondo in the nuts, then roll him up for the pin.
Nothing But Trouble (Maddix & Eddie Mattson) had to swallow a bitter pill at the hands of Ricky Slade & Tab Jackson when Maddix got rolled up & pinned……….BY TAB!
Brute Baretto gave it all he could w/o the underhanded tactics of a suspended Marty Elias, and stopped a 3-count after using one of his signature moves, which would eventually backfire. “Ironman” Mike Maze fought back, executing a huge Spinebuster, then rolled it into the Top Rope Elbow Drop for the pin.
The “Tommy Wilson/Big Duke v. Sgt. Sanders/Andrew Hellman” match started w/ comedy, then finished w/ some serious wrestling. Big Duke managed to stay hidden while dragging & holding down Sgt. Sanders’ feet to make Tommy Wilson fall on him off a Vertical Suplex hold for the pin. Then Tommy Wilson had the audacity to call out RingScoops.com host & commentator Wade Needham, and ask for an arm wrestling match at the 7/5 Covina Show.
Elimination order for the #1 Contenders Match between Scorpio Sky, “Uptown” Andy Brown, Raccid Najjar, & SoCal Crazy: Andy Brown p. Raccid Najjar w/ a Bicycle Knee strike, then dueled w/ both SoCal Crazy & Scorpio Sky before getting pinned by SoCal Crazy. Good duel between SoCal Crazy & Scorpio Sky, but a distraction from “The Experience” associate Big Duke helped the Hollywood Heritage Champion get the final pin to earn another shot at Mike Maze & the EWF Heavyweight Championship.
