BTWNCHAOSNORDER’S gives a recap of the EWF/AWS “United Forces 4” at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Covina on July 6th 2012. Large crowd on hand for the 4th joint show from the EWF & AWS Promotions that saw plenty of excitement, titles changing hands, and two “2011 PWI Female 50” wrestlers make their So Cal return & debut.
1 – Interpromotion match. “Pretty” Peter Avalon (AWS) p. Mercurio Jr. (EWF) w/ the Corkscrew Neckbreaker. PPA drew more energy from the crowd than Mercurio Jr., and rightfully so.
* In-ring promos by the three men competing for the EWF Heavyweight Championship. EWF Deputy Commissioner Marty Elias then hit the ring, and told them that he would be the special guest referee for that match.
2 – Johnny Paradise made Ray Rosas submit to what looked like a Crowbar Armbar submission.
* EWF American Champion Tommy Wilson hit the ring next, cutting a promo about SoCal Crazy. Ricky Slade came out to interrupt the promo, and an impromptu match ensued.
3 – Non-title match. EWF American Champion Tommy Wilson p. Ricky Slade w/ the 2nd Neckbreaker. A post-match taunt and beatdown drew out SoCal Crazy, who ran him out of the ring, then challenged him for the title at the August 3 show.
4 – Mask v. Dress match. Red Thunder scored a reversal pin on Sugar Sweet to keep his mask, and make Sugar Sweet wear a dress. SoCal Crazy, Ricky Slade, & Mike Maze ensured that the stipulation was fulfilled, complete w/ SoCal Crazy tying Sugar Sweet to a chair, and Mike Maze putting him in a sleeper hold while the dress was put on, and that fittingly led to intermission.
5 – After intermission, Al Katrazz p. Johnny Goodtime w/ a low blow behind the back of Referee Justin Borden, followed by what looked like an Inverted Chokeslam to win the AWS Heavyweight Championship. Although I never saw Al Katrazz wrestle live prior to this one, he still had plenty of support from the fans in attendance.
SM – Marquee Ladies Match. MsEerie (MsChif & Christina Von Eerie, w/ Diablo) def. Candice LeRae & Davina Rose. Great ladies match, complete w/ all four women putting submission holds on one another simultaneously. MsChif took Davina Rose out of action w/ the Poison Mist, then used her trademark “Emerald Scream” to draw Candice into Von Eerie’s finishing side slam for the pin.
M – One-fall Triple Threat Match for the EWF Heavyweight Championship between Joey Ryan, Brandon Gatson, & Mike Maze, w/ Marty Elias as the referee. Joey Ryan took advantage of the situation when Brandon Gatson ate Mike Maze’s “Macho Man” Elbow to pin Gatson & win the vacant EWF title.
