Jay Cal’s Clip of the Week
A new feature to the Jay Cal’s View will be the Clip of the Week. We have the Featured Video Section, which unfortunately doesn’t get updated enough. The clip of the week, will try to coincide with what is relevant this week in the View. This week is a clip of the the NWA Hollywood from the 1950s. In those days the original NWA Hollywood would be broadcasted on television with Dick Lane calling the action. The modern NWA Hollywood is coming off a week of 2 shows in a seven day period. Delays on Posting
I just want to apologize to everyone about getting more timely updates to the site. Some life events have prevented me from being able to post as frequently as I would like, but everything should be resolved by the end of the month.
VADER is RAW
The last time most of saw the Mastadon was when he was competing at Wrestle Reunion 6 in Los Angeles. He was said to have lost over 60 pounds. Vader was always one of my favorites and I’m glad to see he is making a comeback of sorts.
SoCal Pro’s Crowning a new Champ!
For the past 5 years, SoCal Pro has had only two titles in its promotion. This weekend at the Summer Classic they will crown the 1st Golden State Champion. Don’t be confused, it has nothing to do with the defunct Golden State Championship Wrestling. The Golden Bear will go to 1 of Joey Barone, SoCal Crazy, Ryan Kidd, Nick Lovin, Ricky Mandel, Eddie Randal, Johnny Ray Walker, or Johnny Paradise. Early on I would have guessed SoCal Crazy to be the new champion, but after sustaining his injury last weekend, I’m not sure if he’ll be 100%. Paradise and Mandel are easily favorited as well, but what about the Undefeated Barone? If Crazy isn’t 100%, Lovin might have the quickest route to the belt. This one should be pretty interesting.
PP3 Tournament
Since tournaments are all the rave this weekend, NWA Hollywood is also hosting a Tournament, the PP3. Although we’ll have some interesting matches like THE EXPERIENCE (Scorpio Sky & Willie Mack) teaming for the first time to take on The Tribe for the Heritage Titles, and the NO DQ Match for Matthews and O’Shea, the star attraction in Hollywood this weekend will be the PP3 Tourney. Don’t sleep on the Morgan vs. Taylor match… it just might steal the show.
