Another full weekend of wrestling. I haven’t had a chance to write up my review from SoCal Pro’s 5 Year Anniversary, but it was an awesome show. Chimaera turned out to be… MPW opens a new wrestling school, talkNWA updates, Cabana and Pearce are set to battle across the US.
Chimaera is Paradise
Ever since the reemergence of Chimaera in SoCal Pro Wrestling, everybody wanted to know who was the man under the mask. With Ricardo Rodriguez commitments to the WWE, you knew he wasn’t behind the mask. I really had no good guesses. Maybe Locura out of retirement or Brandon Gatson But never would have I guessed Johnny Paradise. You could tell at the 5 Year Anniversary that whomever was wearing the Chimaera mask was bigger than the previous one. But kudos to Paradise for working such a different style in the ring. I kept thinking that this new Chimaera reminded me of Super Dragon, which is probably the best compliment I could give Johnny Paradise. Paradise had previously trained at the Rudos Dojo under Ron Rivera and Super Dragon.
MPW Opens SoCal’s newest wrestling school
MPW’s Bump University located at 9180 Kelvin Ave, Chatsworth CA 91311 opens its doors. Classes take place on Mondays and Wednesdays -TONIGHT!! from 7:00pm to 10:00pm and are priced at $150 a month for a 6 month program. When the program is successfully completed, you will have a match on a future MPW live event. For more info contact mpwwrestling@aol.com

Cabana vs. Pearce Best of Seven
This weeks edition of the KDOC’s NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood will feature the match that Cabana defeated Pearce for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. In lieu of a rematch, Pearce asked for a Best of Seven Series. The series will kick off on May 13th in Glendale California as part of the next NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood and then travels across the country to New England Championship Wrestling, Metro Pro Wrestling, Steel Domain Wrestling and if need be the NWA Legends Fan Fest. Of course if it goes past 5 matches, 2 more will be scheduled.
LLMA Card: Los Hijos De Las LeyendasThis Card has been canceled (or it hasn’t) hope you weren’t planning on attending. If the card was that appealing to you, make sure you head out to North Hollywood for the HWP Card, which is featuring basically the same talent. Thanks to El DEFENSOR for the update, says he heard the card is back up. Sometimes you get the feeling that a show just isn’t going to happen… that’s the feeling I get. Go, but go at your own risk. For the record, the Dome doesn’t list the show as happening, so… there ya go.
