Jay Cal’s View #55

The American Dragon went from PWG World Champion to the WWE World Champion. If you like to plan ahead Battle Ground put up their entire OC Schedule for 2012 up, news about the NWA Hollywood TV Taping, an update on “Dirty” Dan Hanson, a bit of thanks, and Legion Championship Wrestling is running Christmas Day!

Bryn Danielson from the NWA Hollywood TV Pilot

The American Dragon is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion
I don’t watch the WWE anymore.  In fact the last time I watched any WWE program in its entirety is the night that ‘Daniel Bryan’ was “FIRED” for choking out Michael Cole as part of that NXT Invasion.  Part of the reason I had even started to re-watch the WWE was because of Danielson.  After years of watching Bryan Danielson wrestle in Memphis (thanks Scrub), APW via the Web, EPIC, AWS, NWA Hollywood/New Japan USA, and PWG, I’m very happy to see Danielson holding the biggest prize in the World of Wrestling.  I never thought I’d see the day he would be on top.   I recently read on a facebook post that one individual couldn’t believe that two “Indy Schmucks” now sit a top the Wrestling World, but I think the wrestling world is a better place because of it.

Battle Ground Pro releases its 2012 Schedule
In a strange turn of events, Battle Ground Pro does something not many indy promotions have ever done.  Release a full calendar schedule of events for the next year.  As I know it, they are still working on dates for South Gate, but these dates are for the American Legion Post #716 Los Alamitos, California.

NWA Hollywood Television Taping–FREE
To celebrate its new home at the Glendale Studios (they will be officially debuting this taping) at 1239 S Glendale Ave, Glendale, CA 91205-3204 the next taping is scheduled for Sunday, January 8, 2012 at 3:00pm until 6:00pm.
