The self proclaimed “best kept secret in wrestling” Ricker took on the “fallen hero” Taylor in an epic battle that left both men letting out everything they had in their arsenals, towards one another. From the grappling maneuvers to the sneaky tactics that Taylor is known best for, the match was non-stop, and had every fan at the edge of their seats. The advantage seemed to be in Taylor’s corner as he was ready to capitalize on Ricker and retain his championship. Taylor was then surprised by none other than “The Midnight Cowboy, Handsome” Johnny Starr. Starr ambushed Taylor from behind, allowing Ricker to get the three-count and capture his first EWF Championship. Only seconds after gaining the title, Starr then took out Ricker and warned him that he was coming back for his revenge on Sept. 23 at the Knights of Columbus.
