SCCW Returns to Cudahy on Saturday April 9th, 2005

SCCW RETURNS – SATURDAY APRIL 9TH
SOCALMANIA + KINGS OF HARDCORE TAPING + MORE

TICKETS ON SALE FEBRUARY 26TH AT 10:00 AM!

Fans who witnessed the SCCW show live on Saturday, January 15, seem to
feel
they got their money’s worth with 10 So Cal Supercard matches and 7
deathmatches.

So, with a few slight changes, including it being only a 10 match show,
we
expect them to feel the same when SCCW returns to the Portero Club on
Saturday afternoon, April 9th.

We know that the main event will be a match to determine the TRUE KING
OF
THE DEATHMATCH as Supreme brings his “big gold belt” and gets in the
ring in
a No Rope, Barbed Wire, Fans Bring Weapons match against Ian Rotten. But, getting to finally have a rematch with Supreme was not enough for
Rotten. On Monday, Ian called SCCW officials and said that not only was
he
out to prove the the South was “more hardcore, extreme, and definitely
more
XTREME, than California” but that Supreme’s statement that Ian beat
“one of
his students, but not him” would not only be obliterated but that he
was
going to bring out one of his students to prove that not only is HE
more
hardcore, but his students are more hardcore. So, the challenge was
laid
out. One quick phone call to Lonestar, and the match was set.

In a deathmatch with stipulations to be determined Lonestar will take
on IWA
Mid-South’s J.C. Bailey!

Plus, looking to avenge his attack from the last SCCW show, Homeless Jimmy will
take
on “Mr. Insanity” Toby Klein in another deathmatch with stipulations to
be
determined.

Also, in a type of match that hasn’t seen the light of day in So Cal in
quite some time, The Santino Brothers – Kaos and Mongol – will take on
Cyanide and Angel in a DOUBLE DOG COLLAR CHAIN MATCH!

The first SCCW So Cal Supercard broke the barrier as, for the first
time
ever, 10 So Cal promotions took part in one historic event. Now, at
SoCalMania, the barrier will be obliterated as 5 interpromotional
matches
take place allowing for never-before-seen matches and stipulations!

REV PRO + AWS
Human Tornado won his first match and title as So Cal Supercard when he
pinned Quicksilver to win the match for his makeshift team (with
Ronin) and
Quicksilver’s Rev Pro Jr. Heavyweight Title. Not like the title has
gone to
his head or anything, but when SCCW officials quickly signed a Texas
Tornado
4 Way Match for April 9th, the new champ renamed it a HUMAN TORNADO
MATCH.
So, it will be Human Tornado vs. Scorpio Sky vs. Quicksilver vs. Ronin
with
Tornado’s Rev Pro Jr. Heavyweight and Sky’s AWS Light Heavyweight
titles on
the line.

UPW + EWF
In a match that will team one UPW wrestler with one EWF wrestler, UPW’s
Lil’
Nate will team with the EWF’s Jason King to take on UPW’s Lionheart and
EWF’s Ricky Reyes!

WAR + NEW JAPAN/INOKI DOJO/NWA
WAR (and ROH) Heavyweight champion Austin Aries will be at SoCalMania
to
defend his title against New Japan Pro Wrestling/NWA’s Scrap Iron
Adam
Pearce. The king of old school got a quick victory over his NJPW/NWA
roster
mate Iceman at So Cal Supercard, but will he be so lucky when he steps
in
the ring against one of the world¹s hottest indy superstars today?

PWG TAG MATCH WINNERS GET SHOT AT ANY SO CAL TAG TITLE
That’s right, when the smoke clears and one team walks away with the
victory, they are also going to get a shot at ANY SO CAL PROMOTION TAG
TEAM
TITLE they want! Which team will walk away as the #1 contenders to SO
CAL
TAG TEAM GOLD?
Super Dragon & Phoenix Star vs. Chris Bosh & Scott Lost

Plus, one more interpromotional match will be announced shortly as a
representative from LUCHAMANIA takes on a wrestler from the newest
addition
to the SCCW Alliance, FMLL.

And, there will be a few more surprises announced before the show.

Oh, and we’ll pass on the word on the buffet. If anyone cares to start
a
thread about what they would like to see at the buffet, we’ll be sure
to
pass it on.

Also, be sure to check out the fully updated SoCalCW.com for the latest
info
plus video clips from the locker room including HOW SCORPIO SKY &
QUICKSILVER’S TITLES ENDED UP ON THE LINE.
