Final Line-up for WAR’s 1/14/05

Pro Wrestling WAR returns to the Santa Ana Elks Lodge on Friday night, January 14th, 2005 with a night of professional wrestling action and entertainment designed to kick off 2005 with a BANG!2 out of 3 falls for the Pro Wrestling WAR Heavyweight Championship!
AUSTIN ARIES (champion) vs. SCOTT LOST

When Scott Lost and Austin Aries first met at WAR’s 11.12.04 debut show, controversy ensued. As Aries pinned Lost, many say that Lost kicked out of the pin before the 3-count was officially made. Referee Kristina McGraw saw things differently and the decision stood. The result – a massive “You screwed Scott!” chant – would later be heard once more at WAR’s 12.12.04 event. As Lost faced Aries in the semi-final match for the Pro Wrestling WAR Championship, Referee Rick Knox counted the pin on Lost, not seeing that Lost had grabbed the bottom rope. After reviewing all of the footage from both shows, the WAR Council has not only named Scott Lost the rightful number one contender to the title, but has ordered that this match take place under a 2 out of 3 falls stipulation to avoid any further potential disputes.

History in the Making!
BLITZKRIEG II vs. SUPER DRAGON

At WAR’s 11.12.04 event, Jack Evans made his SoCal debut and, in what many considered a huge upset, defeated Super Dragon in the Main Event. On 12.12.04, during the Championship Gauntlet match, Dragon gained a measure of revenge by taking advantage of a weakened Evans (who had competed the previous night at CZW’s “Cage of Death VI” event), beating him senseless and eliminating him from the title match! Now, with each man holding a victory over the other, this match looks to settle the feud once and for all as Jack Evans will don the Blitzkrieg indentity for the first time in his career to do battle with the original Blitzkrieg’s former tag-team partner and the man that has set the bar for SoCal wrestling action – Super Dragon!

Special Attraction Dream Match – the Battle of the Piledrivers!
‘MR. WRESTLING’ KEVIN STEEN vs. ‘SCRAP IRON’ ADAM PEARCE (with Vander Pyle)

Many have called Kevin Steen the break-out star for 2004! The former IWS Heavyweight Champion has made a name for himself by wrestling all over the world – from Canada’s CWA to JAPW, CZW to PWG – and will soon be making his way to ROH! At the last WAR show, Steen made an impressive debut and upon the WAR Council asking him back for the 01.14.05 show, the only request he had was to face someone who was his equal in every way! Adam Pearce, on the other hand, is a SoCal original! The former UPW and PWG Champion has most recently shifted his focus to dominating New Japan Pro Wrestling! When Pearce contacted WAR back in 2004, he said that he would only work if he was given an opponent that was his equal in every way! Since its’ inception, WAR has created matches that the fans have wanted to see! On 01.14.05, that standard is continued as these two will face each other for the very first time in pro wrestling history – Piledriver vs. Piledriver!

Tag Team Vengeance, Violence, and Mayhem!
SCORPIO SKY & QUICKSILVER vs. TONY KOZINA & THE NEWEST MEMBER of TEAM EPIC (with Jason Sanders III)

Ever since being brutally attacked by Team EPIC (Tony Kozina, Bo Cooper, Jason Sanders III, and Gary Yap) at WAR’s 11.12.04 event, Scorpio Sky has saught payback. He looked to have it on 12.12.04 during the Championship Gauntlet match but a walk-out by Kozina before the match had a chance to begin prevented that from fully happening. On 01.14.05, walking away will not be an option for Kozina, as he has been ordered to find a partner and face Scorpio Sky and Sky’s long-time partner, the returning Quicksilver! Kozina’s Manager, Gary Yap, has responded to the order by announcing that they have found not only a competent partner for Kozina, but the NEWEST member of Team EPIC, as well!

The Battle of the Underdogs!
DAVEY RICHARDS vs. CHARLES MERCURY

Charles Mercury has emerged as the true WAR Underdog. After defeating both Quicksilver and Ronin at the 11.12.04 WAR show, he followed that up by becoming one of the longest-lasting entrants in the 12.12.04 Championship Gauntlet match, defeating Ryan Drago, Joey EPIC, SupaBad, and even scoring a huge upset victory over International Superstar, El Generico. Davey Richards made his WAR debut during the 12.12.04 Gauntlet match and, while he came up short in his match against Tony Kozina, his drive, desire, and intensity impressed WAR Officials enough to have him asked back. On 01.14.05, it’s a battle for the future as both men look to stake their claim as WAR’s premiere talent.

A Straight-up Back-handed Phatass Pimpin’ Exclusive!
THE HUMAN TORNADO’s Tribute to SUPABAD!

After the last WAR show, the one and only SUPABAD regretfully informed us that he would be retiring from the world of professional wrestling. There are many who considered SupaBad, along with his WAR rival, the Human Tornado, the real Pro Wrestling WAR “show stealers” with their never-ending brawl that left fans wanting more with each show! Out of respect to his now-retired opponent, the Human Tornado has asked for a segment on the 01.14.05 show to say a few things about his former nemesis.
