Los Angeles has demanded it – sexo y violencia for Valentine’s Day! The smash hit Lucha VaVOOM returns to the Mayan for a love re-match. Live, Mexican Masked wrestling superstars battle it out for L.A. supremacy, the best of the new burlesque break up the masked madness with some raucous striptease, and the comedic commentary of Patton Oswalt (King of Queens) and Blaine Capatch (Beat the Geeks) assures theres never a dull moment.Lucha VaVOOM has something for everyone – from crazy wrestling chickens to Tokyo’s Erochica (Miss Exoticworld ’03). We’ve got the first match up in history between rival minis Mascarita Sagrada and Lucha VaVOOM 4 favorite, Tsuki. In honor of Valentine’s day, we’ve got not one but 2 catfights! Lucha libre hearthrob Chilango returns to demonstrate his high-flying acrobatic antics with his outrageous cross dressing partner, Rosa Salvaje. For our star match, we’re proud to present the “Space Cadets:” Solar, Super Astro and Ultraman, in a battle for control of the known universe against evil American Gringo Loco and the malevolent Mysterioso.

The only show of it’s kind, we present authentic, fast paced, one-fall lucha libre matches in the glamourous splendor of the Mayan Theater. Inspired by lucha cinema of the 50’s and 60’s, the classic striptease of artists Kitten DeVille, Ursulina, Ming Dynatease and Summer Peaches accentuate the vintage nightclub feel of Lucha VaVOOM. Since it’s debut show in August of 2002, Lucha VaVOOM has attracted fans from all walks of L.A. life; from hipsters to comic book collectors, show-biz bigwigs to Latino lucha libre fans, from twenty-somethings to seventy-somethings and across all language barriers.

TIME magazine singled out Lucha VaVOOM in their “What’s Next” issue as the coolest new show; Rolling Stone also chose Lucha VaVOOM in their cool issue, and THE FACE sez “…it’s a spectacular combination of deadly serious costumed Mexican fighters and burlesque floor show…Lucha VaVOOM is the most bonkers, exciting show we’ve seen in ages.” Television appearances include Jimmy Kimmel, UPN News and the BBC. If you’ve been to Lucha VaVOOM, you know what all the brou-ha-ha is about. If you haven’t, what are you waiting for??? Get thee down to the Mayan!!!
