PCW ”Ultraklash” updates

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

“ULTRAKLASH” IS ULTRA-EXCITEMENT & ULTRA-ENTERTAINMENT!

* Since the show is so close to Halloween, the best costume that shows up gets the choice of a PCW video or the new PCW t-shirt. *

PASADENA, CA – As aforementioned in a previous press release, Messiah will not be able to make it to PCW “Ultraklash”. He will, however, defend the PCW Championship against Kaos in a thumbtacks & light-tubes deathmatch at PCW’s “Revelations II” on Saturday Night, November 22nd, at a special 8:30pm belltime! Some are calling the feud between The Messiah and Kaos a dream come true. For many years, fans of the XPW promotion awaited battle between these two indy mega-stars! On September 6th, at PCW’s “Zero Tolerance”, Kaos and Messiah faced off in a long-awaited battle. Messiah wanted revenge for Kaos coming through the crowd on July 19th (proceeding Messiah’s quick win over Brawlin’ Bo Cooper) and, unannounced, attacked the Messiah to the delight of the fans and the clearing of the locker room. At “Zero Tolerance”, Both men tried each other’s wit and physical endurance and in the end, Kaos defeated The Messiah. What seemed to be the beginning of a reign of a new PCW Champion was quickly cut short, thanks to referee, Mace. Mace said that since Kaos challenged The Messiah to a grudge match (and not specifically for the Championship), that the Messiah would remain Champion. Furious, PCW owner “The Noticeable One” Aaron Proctor quickly ran to ringside. Messiah, earlier in the night, had disbanded the infamous Philadelphia Connection and fired the forever-in-eyelinered-one as his manager. Having the unusual and surreal event of the crowd somewhat on Proctor’s side (from firing the world’s most boring wrestler, Foob Dogg, earlier in the night), he ordered the Messiah to defend the PCW Championship against Kaos at in a THUMBTACKS & LIGHT-TUBES DEATH MATCH! However, due to Messiah’s obligations to CZW in Italy that next night, he will not be able to take on Kaos at “Ultraklash”.

Another feud that has been going on for months now is the PCW Tag Team Champions, Preston Scott & Matrix (collectively, Damage Inc. with their manager, the snake-in-the-grass Jason Bennett) and their feud with crowd-favorites The Aerial Express (Quicksilver & Scorpio Sky) and their new friend, Sexy Chino. The AXP and Sexy Chino defeated Damage Inc. all-inclusive in a wild and entertaining 6-man tag team match at “Zero Tolerance” and finally earned their right to get a shot at the PCW Tag Team Championship October 24th at “Ultraklash”! The AXP combine lucha libre influence and aerial ability while Damage Inc. retain their titles with their “old school” rulebreaking and technical prowess. In an interesting twist, Jason Bennett will make the subject of his “Hollywood Damage Report” talk show a solo match against the always-dancing Sexy Chino! Will we see new champions crowned at “Ultraklash” or will all 3 members of Damage Inc., once again, get the best of The Aerial Express & Chino?! Also, an added stipulation: If Bennett loses to Chino, then Bennett is banned from ringside during the Tag Team Title match. If Chino loses to Bennett, then either Quicksilver or Scorpio Sky must face Damage Inc. for the tag titles…. in a handicap match! Also, both Damage Inc. and the AXP will be banned from ringside during Chino vs Bennett!

Lil Cholo almost became the new PCW MAXimum Champion at PCW “Zero Tolerance”, if it weren’t for Steve Pain. Steve Pain had been talking backstage about his sheer hate for Cholo. Steve Pain feels that of all the luchadors that make WPW in Anaheim their home, Lil Cholo always steals the spotlight. Steve Pain claims he’s 2003’s “real” Best of the West and wanted to “prove” it to Cholo by costing him gold. Cholo, infuriated, gave Steve Pain one of the sickest headscissors takedowns ever seen by wrestling fans in years, to the concrete floor of the Eagles Hall. Lil Cholo and Steve Pain will face off Friday Night, October 24th, at “Ultraklash”, in a Revenge Match. Joey Ryan retained the PCW MAXimum Championship, by the way, and will defend it against NorCal rival, Hook Bomberry. Hook Bomberry is a new favorite of Southern California wrestling fans, although he actually hails from Northern California! Will Joey Ryan keep the MAXimum Title and continue his run as the first PCW MAXimum Champion or will Hook Bomberry take the MAXimum Title back to Northern California? No matter who gets or keeps the title in this match, this battle will definitely be GOLD. Oh, and by the way, there’s an added stipulation to this match. It will be a Submission Match: which means the only way Ryan or Bomberry can get the win is if they make their opponent tap out. No pinfalls, no count outs!

Speaking, once again, of the PCW MAXimum Championship – have we got an action-packed, exciting, never-before-seen #1 contender’s match for you! It’s a 3-way dance between NorCal wrestling promotion, SPW’s most lethal and death-defying wrestler, the “Combat Athlete” Dante taking on World Power Wrestling’s lucha libre sensation Infernal, taking on another vistor from Northern California who made his PCW debut at “Zero Tolerance”, crowd-favorite and member of Pro Wrestling Iron, Apollo Kahn! The winner will receive a shot against the PCW MAXimum Champion at Revelations II. No doubt that all of these contestants are qualified for that shot and they will stop at nothing in running through each other (and themselves) to get the chance at PCW gold!

Chippy Sanchez & Silver Tyger continue to “wow” the crowds and climb the tag team ranks in PCW. They will get a shot against one of the most outstanding forces in PCW, 2/3 of the X-Foundation, Scott Lost & “Funky” Billy Kim, at “Ultraklash”! This should be an exciting combination of styles and one of the “sleeper” matches of the night! The winners of this match will definitely be going for a shot at the PCW Tag Team Championship against whomever the Tag Champions are in the near future!

“American Zero” Steve Sanchez drew his battle with long-time foe “North Star” Mike Vega at “Zero Tolerance”. Now Sanchez wants to take on Vega’s sidekick, The ominous and enormous Plague at “Ultraklash”. The Plague will be making his PCW debut and a lot of insiders are saying that, despite his large and tall size, is able to pull of exciting wrestling holds. If The Plague’s “Outbreak” (Gorilla Press into DDT) he gave to Sanchez at “Reinvention” on July 19th is any indication, then Sanchez is in for the most brutal battle of his young career. Both Sanchez and The Plague, however, pride themselves on being exciting, athletic, exclusive and original PCW talent!

“Zero Tolerance” saw some interesting changes to PCW’s owner and the alliances that he’s made over the past few months. As mentioned earlier, Foob Dogg was demoted to sound guy (and thank god for that because who in their right mind would want to see him WRESTLE?) for disappointing the fans month after painful month and The Messiah disbanded the Philly Connection. At the show’s start, Aaron Proctor berated Disco Machine but later helped him win an important match against popular SoCal wrestler and special mystery opponent, TARO. Afterward, they hugged in the ring and pledged friendship to each other. Will these changes, at all, affect the events at “Ultraklash”?!

It’s pretty safe to say that PCW is on a “roll”. Attendance continues to grow and interest in PCW escalates, as well. We remind fans to NOT miss this show! Nothing beats PCW live and in person!
